Supergirl (Starfire would look pretty stupid in live action imo & Superboy might confuse casuals)
Affleck is now a producer on Justice League.

Well, any character can work I guess. Starfire is a character you have to do a lot of work on to keep her from being ridiculous. She's a giant Oompa Loompa with green fire powers. That's why I was thinking it might be better to use Supergirl, who has more or less the same power type & just looks like a human.
Well Affleck is writing and directing his own Batman movie. He also did Argo and The Town at WB, so he's got pull to make things happen his way.I wonder if its just a "producer in name only" thing that people like Stan Lee sometimes get on movies, or if he's actually got a voice in producing the movie. I hope he's an active producer, if only because I think he's probably got better ideas then the existing people.
By that logic Gamora is just a giant piece of broccoli who is good at punching people, and Drax is a diseased apple or green pepper. Its 2016, colorful aliens are basically accepted at this point.
You will want to keep an eye on how his credit reads. If he was an active producer, it will say Produced by Ben Affleck, p.g.a. The definition for getting the p.g.a. "Producer's Mark" is: "Signifies having met the Guild's standard of having undertaken a majority of producing duties on a motion picture." Without that, he's a producer in name only.I wonder if its just a "producer in name only" thing that people like Stan Lee sometimes get on movies, or if he's actually got a voice in producing the movie. I hope he's an active producer, if only because I think he's probably got better ideas then the existing people.
I don't know, people keep bringing up GoG as proof that any crazy nonsense is going to work, but I'm not sure how true that is. GoG took place almost entirely in a whimsical alien setting, and almost every character fit in that sort of world.
Maybe if they go that route they can make all the wacky characters fit in, but WB is going for a darker, earthier cinematic style.
Starfire's skin tone in the comics isn't supposed to look that "off" by human standards. She can walk around with shades on and people treat her as human.
