Klingon EnvyI'm almost certain every starfleet ship in DSC other then the Connie has two pronged deflector.

Confession time: I wasn’t a fan of the Discoverse Enterprise 1701 when I laid eyes on it.
Buuuuuuuuut, can I say I’ve warmed to it overtime?
Granted - it’s not my fav Enterprise design by any means - however, it’s not terrible either (and I can respect it for what it is, in the Discoveryverse).
Just thought I’d share my reconsideration of this version.
I think it fits well in the lineage, even if it isn't exactly how I would have done it. Nothing will ever beat the TOS Connie in my eyes though.Confession time: I wasn’t a fan of the Discoverse Enterprise 1701 when I laid eyes on it.

The return to Treks of Yore-style very blue and very red nacelles is my least favourite thing about it. And something Disco has avoided until now when they've put it on the one incarnation of the Enterprise which has never had it in any of its prior forms. It works a lot better when I ignore the CBS-approved scale of the ship and just think of it as a refit of sorts that's the same size as the TOS Enterprise. The ship herself is fine for the most part. The blue glowing nacelles are gorgeous. But I'm not as fond of her now as I was when she was first revealed.
You can’t go wrong with Blue Warp Nacelles.
Don't ya know...To be honest, the blue glowing stripe on the nacelles always was my least favourite design feauture in non-TOS Star Trek. Always. Especially in combination with that red glowing front.
IMO all TNG era warp nacelles look like Christmas decoration, instead of actual engines.
The less it is pronounced, the better (Voyagers smaller stripes and tiny red dots are okay). I absolutely LOVED that such blue stripes aren't on the JJprise. And the Discovery at least doesn't have that childish red-blue combination. Alas, maybe that's one of the reasons the Disco-Enterprise looks IMO so unimpressive.
That size isn’t canon, so why does it matter? It works a lot better when I ignore the CBS-approved scale of the ship and just think of it as a refit of sorts that's the same size as the TOS Enterprise. Didn’t someone say that they wanted the inside of the nacelles to glow in TOS, but couldn’t fot some reason?
Sorry I meant inside as in the inside facing sides of the nacelles, like it is on the DSC connie. They wanted to do that in the J.J. Abrams reboot movie. Here is concept art for it:

I'm glad they didn't do it...
