The notches aren't all that much better.
^ PixelMagic, would you care to share what you've been told versus what the wire-frame image from the last episode depicts? I know I'd like to read what you have to say. Spoiler tags for the un-sullied, please....
But that has the same problem as before. Because if the Terran Empire was given to modifying the old Defiant, the same modifications would have been made to the Mirror Enterprise. It makes more sense for the Defiant to NOT be modified after 100 years (it's the original ship and they didn't want to mess with it) than for newly-built Constitutions to retain the 100 year old design. From my understanding, if what I'm being told is accurate, that's not true. It's not supposed to be what the DSC Prime Connie looks like. It's either modifications by the Terran Empire, or someone just goofed up the graphic. Not sure which.
...but the fact that they bothered to come up with a redesign in the first place means the TOS version is already a non-starter.
Oh, for sure. I've been told there is no chance it will look like the TOS Connie. It will be modified for a modern aesthetic for sure. Although I have not seen it, my impression is that it will be redesigned, but still unmistakably a Connie the instant you see it.
It's been mentioned quite a few times the last few pages.I don't know if this is mentioned, but.....
This is the Defiant, that has been in the MU for about a century now. It might very well have been upgraded by the Terrans. For all we know the actual Prime Connie will look totally different!
Man, that "D7" sucks harder and harder almost every time I see it.![]()

Also why did you people stop using spoiler tags? This thread does not have a spoiler warning in the title.
And for all we know they could have been looking at their own records of the USS Defiant.
No. Go back and watch the scene. It's from the rebel data base download. That's what leads me to believe the graphic is the modifications made by the Terran Empire, or some mistake from the art dept.
Not necessarily. It could be a test-bed for the Empire, or the flagship for the leadership of the Empire, meaning it gets all the bells and whistles vs. a front line ship. But that has the same problem as before. Because if the Terran Empire was given to modifying the old Defiant, the same modifications would have been made to the Mirror Enterprise. The producers almost certainly know this as well: Defiant is the baseline for all other Empire ships, so the only reason to exactly copy the design is if they lack the ability to make significant improvements to it. It's entirely possible and even likely that the wireframe is not what the Prime Constitution will end up looking like (sans phaser pods in the pylons and a different deflector probably), but the fact that they bothered to come up with a redesign in the first place means the TOS version is already a non-starter.
Just more reasons to be critical of DISCONo need to be dismissive just because you disagree. It's either redesigned or it isn't. We've just seen one so far. It's up in the air at this point.
I don’t know if you’re replying to me but if you are, I didn’t mean to be dismissive at all. I have no problem to apologize to @PixelMagic if he feels I offended him in any way in my reply. No need to be dismissive just because you disagree. It's either redesigned or it isn't. They got the information about thefrom the rebel database that’s for sure. But that graphic could still be from their own ship’s database. They all seemed to recognize it immediately without blinking an eye.USS Defiant’s journey and presence in the Mirror Universe
Look, all I’m saying is that we can’t be 100% positively sure and reach to definite conclusions about it one way or the other. And since you haven’t seen the actual Constitution-class "redesign" yourself neither can you.
