USS Enterprise (eventually) on Discovery?

I've spotted three differences. One of these ships can not be Prime.

That ain't right, the top one has too may windows to be from The Cage.

I'm sorry. CBS has no power over how I enjoy or interpret Star Trek.
No one is saying they do.

I think I'm starting to drift a lot towards the "not prime because CBS says it" side. The only thing that I count as definite is wether it's canon or not, everything from there is up to interpretation. Now, that doesn't change my opinion that DSC is in the prime timeline, but it also means that I see DSC not being in the prime timeline or stuff like Serveaux's three universes model as just as valid.

Well, they're one's doing the work so there's the "enforcement" right there.
What are they enforcing exactly? Are they going to shoot someone who doesn't think it's Prime?!
Anyway, I always believed in "see what I do, not listen to what I say" model of leadership. They may say it's Prime, but everything they actually do on the show screams "25% different from Prime"

Nah, they're just gonna produce the show they want to produce. That's all the enforcement needed and the only type that counts.
Well we're seeing it on our TV and computer screens so they're doing. If you want to see the old stuff pop in a disc or stream it.

Slight tangent but if CBS are the ferengi, they’re abiding by rule of acquisition 45: “expand or die” by making 5 new Trek shows or whatever.

However as far as the Enterprise is concerned they seem to have ignored the 74th rule: “knowledge equals profit” because that’s not what no Enterprise look like.

And they’re invoking 239: “never be afraid to mislabel a product” as that’s not what no Enterprise look like.

I like the Ferengi but this smacks of Daemon Bok and his thought maker.

That's exactly what it means.
In my opinion the only valid statement that CBS can make for any Trek product is wether it's canon or not. Canon being part of the world of Trek, non-canon being the opposite. Accepting DSC as prime because of authorial intent says so is a specific in-universe decision that would be akin to them saying, for example, Archer is Future Guy. There is no in-universe proof for it, so as far as I'm concerned I don't have to accept it.

Can we call them quasi-cardassian totalitarians yet?
I know this is a joke, but [this is a great way to start a response, eh?] to be honest it feels rather out of place in a discussion regarding something so trivial like canonicity/timeline and really only further pollutes the discussion climate, that often tends to be already needlessly, eh, polluted, to stay with that metaphor.
