Upcoming novel "Unworthy"

 Well, she's closing the age gap pretty quickly, isn't she?

Maybe that's intentional by the authors to give Itcheb and Noami something to do. Come to think of it, I would have my problems falling in love with a girl that's hardly ten years old. Especially when I knew I was playing with her five years ago and now that playing goes into an entire new direction.

So, Ktarians mature twice as fast as humans and have a high intellect? (If Naomi is an example, she would've passed 3 school grades a year to catch up with Icheb.) Guess you wouldn't want them as enemies.

^On the other hand, when the Ktarians are your enemies, they seem to think that getting you addicted to a really lame computer game constitutes a worthy master plan...

From a recent Interview I had with Kirsten Beyer for Unreality SF:

“People are already asking if it is a continuation to Full Circle and I guess in some ways it is. There are character arcs that are left unresolved in Full Circle that are completed in Unworthy, but as in everything I seem to write for Voyager, there are also unresolved issues and some new potential mysteries and directions are opened up. How I or anyone else will follow up on those remains to be seen. Full Circle has set a new direction for Voyager, at least for a while, and Unworthy is the first in what I hope will be many novels exploring that direction. I will also say that two characters who I felt received the least attention in Full Circle, the Doctor and Seven, are given much more to deal with in Unworthy.
Just happened upon this quote. I so miss the Doctor. He's just the best. I knew about Seven's prominent role but I'm so glad the Doctor is back.:)

What about Naomi? Where's she right now? Isn't she at the academy, too?

Just started, if I remember correctly. Ah, half-Ktarianism...where does the time go?

Really? I don't remember that? Do you know where it says it? ....Full Circle??

I believe "Full Circle" mentions she is about to begin, yes. Seven has a conversation with someone- Chakotay?- in which they discuss Icheb's being a "big brother" to her.

For the record, this is what Scarlett Pomers, the actress who played Naomi, looks like today:

(It has, after all, been almost ten years since VOY ended. Scarlett is 20 years old.)

Just somethin' to bear in mind if Naomi is the equivalent of a Human 18-year-old now. ;)
