Unusual PC hardware designs from the early 2000s

I get your points--but don't you at least want designers to make the computer look like it is part of the future--that we now live in/

It seems as if products of all types are becoming more and more dull. If nothing else, the tube thing could make its way into a new ENTERPRISE set. That IBM little tykes thing--I would have loved that as a child.

Computers should look important. It is almost as if we now live in a reversed Pleasantville where our surroundings become less colorful-- as PCs become daguerreotype frames...

Here ya go!

I'll stick with my plain dull box. Though I have a couple red LEDs on my front fans and noticed my new video card has its name illuminated which is kind of cool when I looked through the top (prob the side on most cases).

I think these Thermaltake cases look a little strange, what with all the components separated.

They also cost a pretty penny. That's why I never tried to get the Lian Li snail shape case. That held a standard ATX sized board but the case was round like a snail or nautilus shell... Had a nice over $400 US price tag too.

I love the Tristellar case but I can see that being way pricey.

I'm just wondering if the Thermaltake case has a point. Does it cool better? Does it prevent dust better?

Thermaltake is a major computer brand, so I figure they think they know something.

They are trying to be like Lian Li and have odd designs. But unusual stuff costs more..

OK I found a video about the Tristellar but it's only for small motherboards.
