Unexpected deaths of Disco Crew Members... Who's next?

Much as I want him to stick around, I think it will be Lorca, at the end of the series. I feel he will be the Ned Stark of the series.

Hoping not though, as he's fast becoming my favourite character.

The only character I have an emotional, "don't you dare fucking kill him" attachment to right now is Stamets. Stamets is easily one of my favorite characters in all of Trek at this point. If he dies, I will be devastated and very frustrated. I'm sure I'll still enjoy the show and stick with it, but my enthusiasm for subsequent episodes will take a big hit. That character (and Rapp) are such an asset, they'd have to pick up a lot of slack he'd leave behind.

Stamets is the only likable character at this point, I don't think that they'll kill their darling. Who else is there to care about?

I find some other characters likable at this point (Saru and Tilly come to mind) but Stamets is the only one I'd truly miss if they killed him off, even if there was a good reason for doing so.

I don't see Stamets dying, but I do wonder if as a result of being linked to the spore network he'll, like "ascend" to another level of the universe or something by the end of the season, functionally killing off his character.

They can't kill too many characters mid-season, because we would have heard already if there were any additional "main cast" additions, and if you bumped off more than one of the core cast, the show would begin getting pretty empty.

Culber is top three for the win(well, not really a much coveted accomplishment though). Tilly when she's revealled to really be a Klingon spy along with her D-7 crew(there, she got to be a captain allright!). Stamets might be gone too as an extreme surprise towards the end(maybe last episode or whenever they'll negate the spore drive totally. Will it shock you? Good! -Good theory on the "ascencion" though. They could kill his Mirror counterpart for getting similar spore drive powers and abusing them I guess). Voq/Tyler as a questionmark(they might bring him back next season as "one of THOSE deaths" they do in similar format series). Burnham, but it will really be the Mirror Burnham. Georgiou again after it's discovered she's a clone(but then again there still might be another one(third) of her...clone? Real? who knows??)

Burnham should be next. She's not that fascinating or interesting a character. As a series lead, she's a dud.

I really hope they don't kill either Stamets or Culber. Introducing a gay couple only to kill one of them has been done a lot in TV shows and it is really not something people like.

I hated it when they killed Lexa!

I see a few options. I think the female officers that are doing the old jobs of Sulu and Chekov are options. Right now they only seem to exist to push buttons on the bridge but since they have been in every episode they feel more important than just some random redshirt we have never seen. I could also see the doctor as a possibility but Cruz is to good of a actor to just dump so fast.

I think when we start talking about alternate universes it means we have the door open to anyone dying and being replaced by a duplicate from the mirror universe or any other universe. I also think the alternate universe idea opens of the idea for a shock death that we didn't think was possible like Sarek or Mudd.

I also think the Admiral is going to die and I think the white klingon will die and unlike others I don't think he is Ash. I think Ash and the female Klingon will take over the mission and try and win the war or get revenge on the other KLingons who tricked them.

So far at this point i don't think it would bother me too much if they killed off everybody and the ship continued on it's mission via auto pilot, as it becomes trapped in a continuous spore jump, with the Discovery leaping from star system to star system, putting things right that once went wrong and hoping each time, that it's next spore jump will be the jump home.

Ohhhhhh Boy!

He might meet Daniel Jackson

Quickly after the jumps go haywire, President-Admiral Archer is beamed aboard and rejuvenated to his real-life age by the mushrooms. His only contact will be his friend Al via the holographic communicator.

Then the ship ends up stranded in the Delta Quadrant and needs to find its way home.
