Trailer 3 Discussion Thread

I'm wondering, which rating Hannibal has in the US? Here in Germany it got "Not under 18". Highest possible rating and comparable to 'R'.

I'm pretty sure it had to have been TV-14, (which is the equivalent to PG-13 for movies, or appropriate for anyone over 14) they never show anything above that on US free networks.

The tagline for "TV-MA" should be:
"Contains scenes that will make you blush if your watch it with your parents."

I not so fondly remember this scenario. Staying at my mums for a couple of days and watching Torchwood's launch. There wasn't much conversation to be had after the sex monster killer.

Really? Even late at night? That'll explain why I watched Interview With The Vampire on TV in a US hotel room and it was cut to shreds.

Correct. Even Hannibal didn't get TV-MA. Now part of what is going on there is that unlike movies, TV show ratings are determined by the networs themselves and they would likely have a harder time getting advertisers for TV-MA so they have a vested interst in rating then TV-14.

Ooh, new scenes to analyze! Why is Michael so upset in the Shenzhou transporter room? Transporter malfunction? Beaming back from the Klingons with a terminally wounded Captain perhaps?
