Three Years Of Starscream: A Celebration

We couldn't imagine it then. It was just strange, alluring new tech and these unusual social connections formed through the void and the ether. I certainly wouldn't have believed it would still exist in twenty years.

Trust me, it's coming for you. You're already a quarter of the way there ;)

I know... It's scary

Ah wow. So pleased to see some old names around these parts. I'll have hit 20 years myself though god knows when. I registered some time in 2001, but this was before you could change your username, and I wanted just "Mogh", so reregister it was.

This was back in the day when you didn't want to be out of the Fleet Captains' lounge so I had to post like hell to get back there :D

Delighted you're all not dead and still arsing around on the Internet. What's everyone up to? I started here as a high-school kid, and I'm currently a director in local government with a wife and a kid :D

I just remember the song from Spamalot

I am not dead yet
I can dance and I can sing
I am not dead yet
I can do the Highland Fling

Oh the EFCL, one of lifes biggest regrets. Never trust a bunch of Trekkies and Trolls to manage a place democratically LOL

Yeah, an interesting study... I kinda dropped out of sight (a few posts per year max) in the late 2000s for a lot of reasons, one of which was my complete inability to handle board politics. That's why I lurk in the Brit thread and post very rarely there, at Renaissance Next or at TerranBBS. :)

Well it's been an interesting couple years hasn't it. Thankfully I think the pandemic was pretty easy on me personally, since I kept working throughout and no-one I know had a really bad case of the virus. Biggest frustration has been not being able to get out to the US to see my brother and his family but hopefully we can do that soon! Am the same old me though. Another couple years older. My back hurts more. Still the coffee drinking machine I've always been though. Good to see so much Trek back on our screens... maybe I should drop around more!

So that's twenty two years on the board now.
Nineteen years of this thread. I'm not re-reading the opening post again this time; please remember it was written in 2003, a different time!

I've actually been posting fairly regularly for the last year. Not as regularly as some, obviously, but I visit most days so this thread doesn't have the usual feel of returning somewhere I used to spend a lot of time on. I've been here more often than I have since that year I had the really active dual (you know the one!) Maybe I'll even finally start doing those mutli-quote replies some people do. But probably not.

Anyway, yeah, time for Jethro to come over the hill and Kitty to emerge from the pocket dimension she alone exists in.

*emerges from her pocket dimension*

Hey oldies, another year around the sun. Nice to see you all here. Congrats, Jethro on little Sideshow Bob! JE: TNG

Congrats on your posting, Screamy. Come to the lounge!

Just wanted to say that I logged on this year and a whole bunch of unread messages from 2003-2005 popped up in my inbox here. Sorry for the late replies.

Congratulations, Jethro, I'm happy your line will continue and one day a descendant will travel back in time to grant immortality onto me, as has always been your purpose. Bet it's a cute baby boy!!!

Just tell them you can only exist in this dimension on April 30th, Kitty, I'm sure they'll understand.

I have access to all the Lounges because I'm Premium, which I've always found kind of weird. Am I supposed to go into the newbie Lounge and intimidate them with my join date/wit?
