I don't understand why this man is celebrating being here for three years and why he typed so many words. It's not like three years is a long time. I've had marriages longer than that.

20 years of @Snaploud as of this past July...That's what happens when nobody bothers to clearly label the exit signs.

I just remember the song from Spamalot

    I am not dead yet
I can dance and I can sing
    I am not dead yet
I can do the Highland Fling

Oh the EFCL, one of lifes biggest regrets. Never trust a bunch of Trekkies and Trolls to manage a place democratically LOL

I learned much from the EFCL, no regrets here. Thank you for teaching me the ways of humans, it was an interesting study

Yeah, an interesting study... I kinda dropped out of sight (a few posts per year max) in the late 2000s for a lot of reasons, one of which was my complete inability to handle board politics. That's why I lurk in the Brit thread and post very rarely there, at Renaissance Next or at TerranBBS. :)

Well it's been an interesting couple years hasn't it. Thankfully I think the pandemic was pretty easy on me personally, since I kept working throughout and no-one I know had a really bad case of the virus. Biggest frustration has been not being able to get out to the US to see my brother and his family but hopefully we can do that soon! Am the same old me though. Another couple years older. My back hurts more. Still the coffee drinking machine I've always been though. Good to see so much Trek back on our screens... maybe I should drop around more!

So that's twenty two years on the board now.
Nineteen years of this thread. I'm not re-reading the opening post again this time; please remember it was written in 2003, a different time!

I've actually been posting fairly regularly for the last year. Not as regularly as some, obviously, but I visit most days so this thread doesn't have the usual feel of returning somewhere I used to spend a lot of time on. I've been here more often than I have since that year I had the really active dual (you know the one!) Maybe I'll even finally start doing those mutli-quote replies some people do. But probably not.

Anyway, yeah, time for Jethro to come over the hill and Kitty to emerge from the pocket dimension she alone exists in.

I became a grandpa this year. I tried to get my son to name his firstborn Captain Wacky, but his wife had lost a bet to a girl when she was in 5th grade and had to name her firstborn son Sideshow Bob.

Hey oldies, another year around the sun. Nice to see you all here. Congrats, Jethro on little Sideshow Bob! JE: TNG

Congrats on your posting, Screamy. Come to the lounge!

Just wanted to say that I logged on this year and a whole bunch of unread messages from 2003-2005 popped up in my inbox here. Sorry for the late replies.

Congratulations, Jethro, I'm happy your line will continue and one day a descendant will travel back in time to grant immortality onto me, as has always been your purpose. Bet it's a cute baby boy!!!

Just tell them you can only exist in this dimension on April 30th, Kitty, I'm sure they'll understand.

I have access to all the Lounges because I'm Premium, which I've always found kind of weird. Am I supposed to go into the newbie Lounge and intimidate them with my join date/wit?
