Things That Will Never Be Answered

Let's have this thread about things that will never be answered in star Trek. Here is an example of the kind of things I mean.

The Federation emblem Khan wears. People talk about how he knew Chekhov, but nobody really seems to have noticed the Federation symbol he wears.

That has not been explained.

Actually, it is explained in Greg Cox's novel detailing Khan's life on Ceti Alpha V. Basically, it was a Starfleet medallion made by Marla's friends and given to her before she left the Enterprise, and after she was killed Khan began wearing it in her memory.

The final fate of the Talosians.

I'm not sure it needed to be explained. They were left on the planet with Starfleet supplies. It could be anything from something in the supplies to something Khan made to remind him of the object of his disdain.

Shinzon was a clone of Picard as we all know, but how was the original sample obtained? Did ENTERPRISE have a spy onboard? How was this plan even approved and who approved it - a Romulan we got to "know"? It was a bold and daring plan, but it also carried with it great risk. In that same vein, how did Shinzon know about B-4, where to find him and all of that? And do all androids with Positronic Brains send out impulses that act as beacons for all the Universe to home in on? Even B-4's left foot sent out a signal ... all its very own. In another movie, Sybok presents an interesting puzzle: his plan required the use of a compromised Starship that would greater facilitate his take-over. How did he anticipate that ENTERPRISE would be in just such a condition when he put his scheme into full effect? Insofar as I'm aware, not even STAR TREK authors have come up with any solution(s), at least not yet ...

All those various people encountered by voyager who were assimilated at wolf 359 by the single cube that proceeded immediately to earth and was destroyed pretty soon after....
maybe they assimilated the iconians and had little unseen portals to the delta quadrant in their cubes eh?

Also after 4 series and 10 movies of correct usage, the producers of " enterprise" dropped the prefix "the" when having characters refer to their ship
A habit all non starfleet humans and alien adversaries mysteriously picked up as well
Hearing "lock weapons on Enterprise " sounded weird as hell after 30 years of THE Enterprise.

Thankfully it's not something the new movies stuck with

Believe it or not, modern day US Navy doesn't use "the" in reference to their ships. That's the only reason it was dropped in Enterprise, to make it more consistent with real life.

Also, it can be argued that the writers were used to Voyager not using "the" simply because "the Voyager" just doesn't sound right.

What would STAR TREK have been like if Jeffrey Hunter had stayed on and not been replaced by William Shatner? Would it have been more popular or less?

And what if Majel Barrett had stayed on as Number One?

Spock would have been prone to grinning over vibrating plants or screaming about women.

I don't remember, did we see the emblem on Khan prior to being on the Reliant?
I always assumed it was something he took from the uniform of someone from reliant's crew

What happened to Janeway and Paris' children? The ones they abandoned on some rock in the Delta Quadrant.

He's wearing it in the Ceti Eel scene, so it's prior to him taking over the Reliant.

Less, I'd think. Hunter already had one unsuccessful series under his belt in the 1963-1964 season with Temple Houston, which is probably why he was available for "The Cage". I saw maybe one episode of it, I remember commercials for it.
And what if Majel Barrett had stayed on as Number One?
Leonard Nimoy never would have been on Mission: Impossible.

No Famous Spock Nerve Pinch.
No mind-melds.
No T'Pring.

No Neimoidians in Star Wars.
