The Walking Dead Season 4

I watch so much damned TV so I need these breaks. Walking Dead break gives me a slot for Games of Thrones.

Ditto. I have a backlog of shows to get to, so I really don't mind.

BTW, don't know if this has been posted but Entertainment Weekly posted these "betting pool" odds for who buys the zombie farm in the season finale.

Full article

Major character most likely to crave brains:
Glenn: Even
Maggie: 7-5

Bob: 7-1
Michonne: 7-1
Carl: 10-1
Sasha: 12-1
Tyreese: 15-1
Daryl: 25-1
Rick: 250-1
Ante up.

^^ I'm hoping nobody dies. Talk about long odds. :rommie:

As for finding time for other shows: Is anybody else going to give Turn a shot when Walking Dead is over?

I know, right? :rommie:

Could you elaborate on that statement? I'm not quite sure how that manifests itself.

The Right thinks it's immoral, the Left thinks it objectifies women.

Ah, gotcha, though I usually think of the latter being applied conditionally rather than universally but that makes sense.
Yup, Borgminister summed it up perfectly.

Anyone else bummed that after tomorrow night's episode we have to wait until next season to watch new episodes?
You have no idea. I just hope we learn Beth is okay before the break.

It's the double-standard in society and in the usually pretty liberal Hollywood. Men can appear nude in a movie and not potentially damage their careers, women appear nude in a movie and it can damage their reputation as an actress.
When was the last time there was any negative fallout from a nude scene in a movie? Was it Hedy Lamarr or Maureen O'Sullivan? :rommie:

If there's any sense to it, the WD spinoff will probably jockey for airtime in the prime series' hiatus. They're likely to have better fan response that way anyhow, given that it will fill in these long breaks

We had the alternating AMC airing of TWD and Breaking Bad. However, now with just TWD I am wondering if TWD spinoff will air alternating or air as a companion to the original. It will be interesting to see which path AMC takes.

Yes, I do agree  that tonight's TWD season 4 final "A" episode will definitely be tough knowing we will not see the surviving characters until October. :sigh:

What's funny about the spinoff, is how just the other day I was complaining here about wanting to see the zombie apocalypse in a different setting. I hope we get a completely different type of terrain.

AMC should go ahead and air TWD, it's "companion" series, and then Talking Dead. Just go ahead and lock up an entire night's worth of ratings dominance.

Since AMC is producing this TWD Spinoff series, AMC should also increase the original TWD series seasons from 16 to 22 episodes too. I would much rather see more episodes of the original TWD.

Tonight's show appears destined to leave me feeling conflicted just as last season's finale did, but for the exact opposite reasons. Last year, I was glad to finally be rid of my least favorite main character, but the action left something to be desired. This year's finale looks to be action-packed, but I'm all but assured of losing my favorite character.

^I too feel tonight's episodes will leave me conflicted and wanting more. That's not going to stop me from watching it but still.

Pulse pounding, for sure. I was expecting a lot more out of the last ten minutes. Considering all the good guys are alive, I'm actually okay with that. Even though I'm a little let down that no one really important died. With Walking Dead, you kind of expect that.

Wow, nothing happened. For eight episodes.

That's quite a cliffhanger, though. I have no idea how they'll escape short of a random zombie attack distracting the Terminus people.

I had this so built up in my head I thought more was going to happen at Terminus. At least I didn't think everyone would end up in holding.

Plenty of "Rick moments" in this one, his dispatching of Jeff Kober (what the hell is the character's name) was something else.

Well, everyone hasn't arrived in Terminus yet...

I KNOW! I feel lied to re: character deaths. I'm glad that the seemingly obvious bits of foreshadowing were just red herrings. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the outcome. The finale was fantastic. Six months to wait, man.... that sucks.

Jeff Kober (what the hell is the character's name)

Joe.
