The Voice UK

In Germany the raitings went down after the blind auditions. However the winner is doing ok in their charts.

they was already true the first week. and they also did a short montagey thing of accepted people and not full performances.

Well the blind auditions are over, be interesting to see how the show performs now. I felt really sorry for the guy with the dreadlocks because I think if it'd been more than just Will with one pick left he might well have been picked. I'd be interested to know how they filtered the singers through because it does seem the earlier you got in the more chance you had.

That hippi chick was amazing, I was shouting at the TV for the judges to press their buttons :p IDIOTS.

Why are they idiots? They have limited spaces and they've already got acts who may be similar. She's what, 17? Loads of time to succeed and if nothing else she gets exposure (same for all of them, I felt sorry for the guy who'd done Jerry Springer, but you know what, I bet he at least gets some offers on the back of this.)

She was better than some of the people already picked.

Maybe, she was good but I think how good is open to debate.

anyway hindsight's a wonderful thing.

It's a hard call for the coaches, and I don't think they've always got it right (either in turning or not turning) but I can appreciate their predicament. You can choose ten singers, you have no idea who's coming and you have to try for as varied a group as you can. I think there have been plenty they wished they'd turned around for, and also suspect there'sa few they wish they hadn't turn around for, because they weren't as good as they perhaps thought. This is why, particularly, Danny seemed reluctant to turn unless somone else did unless he was very very sure.

Will got lucky with his last pick, but he could have just as easily been poorer than the guy with the dreads.

I'm curious to know how finite the list was, was the music teacher the last one or was there a whole line more.

i loved Will's comments to Pixie and Indie. "i thought that was dope." FOUR TIMES!

and i loved Jessie's 'Blind Date' gag.

see it's got the Dark Lord scared and he's shifted Britain's Got Talent Including Foreigners Coming Over Here Stealing Our Talent Shows next week.

Ha ha, yeah that was funny. They weren't the best act, but there was something marketable at least about them (and while I didn't think individually they were that good, once they harmonised they were lots better)

Jesse J makes me smile.

Well it probably wasn't quite as watchable as the blind audition rounds, but this was still interesting. Some of the duels were really hard to call, but some weren't...I still can't believe Danny took that Max guy over Bill, maybe he just liked his hat? And also can't believe Jesse took the girl who can't sing through!

I was glad the gal from Five Star didn't go through, the other girl's voice was amazing, plus I suspect getting this far will probably be enough for her, if nothing else it might boose sales for the Five Star reunion tour!

Jaz is really good, but I do think Will's song choice suited him more than it suited Jay.

I wonder how many of those who were knocked out here will be contacted by agents/record companies anyway? I'm sure there must be rules about what they can/can't do, same for the judges given I'm sure Will said to one girl he was cutting 'this won't be the last time we work together.'

I had a giant post with my thoughts on each battle off and then I clicked tab x by accident :wtf: so just going to say RUTH BROWN OMG what a voice, she is my pick to win the show...

thats why :p

i was glad deniece went out, she was too cocky, arrogant and full of herself.

i can't believe Jessie picked Ruth-Ann or that she took Becky over Indie and Pixie and i agree with the wonder twins (lol), i think Becky got more of the wow-stuff.

will.i.am got into trouble with the Beeb for saying he was going to sign Jay, so they cut it out. he apparently intends to sign him in June though, which is when they're contracted until.

apparently some ITV guy threw a wobbly on twitter cuz saturday's over-ran by 3 minutes. BBC said well, that's cuz we tried to edit it from 100 to 90 minutes because BGT was on at 8.30. (you could tell the cut at least two of the songs on sunday's) but they all so said it's ITV's fault for launching BGT 4 weeks earlier to compete. (to which i add, so f*** you Cowell!) and Voice got 11m viewers saturday.

I liked Becky's voice she has a roughness to it which makes it more unique and shows how good her control is when she sings. I thought Indie n Pixie's attitudes were rubbish they acted like they were owned something.

Irrespective of whether that's actually valid or not, don't these people realise they're being filmed? There can only be one winning act in the show, so your best option is to make yourself as marketable as you possibly can. Indie and Pixie were never going to win this (outside of their own heads) but they can sing, they're pretty and they have a certain something (how many girl duos do you actually see these days after all?) however they're probably now viewed as petty and spiteful, and the fact that there's two of them should have informed them that throwing a hissy fit would only ever make it look like two girls ganging up on one.

Several other acts got stiffed (if I was Bill I'd be livid) yet they acted professionally. Personally I think Jesse had a point, it isn't just about who has the loudest most powerful voice--take Bo, who's my dark horse, I'd listen to an album of hers-- and they should have taken this on board and at least claimed the moral high ground.

Comparing it with Tom's duo as well, I do think it was tricky to match a duo up against a solo artist as well.

I don't like duo's being in the show, having a 2 vs. 1 seems very odd and I think since the show is called The Voice not Voices that it just stick to solo's. Can always do a spinoff for groups or something.

Seems like Jessie J would rather pick someone who can't sing well but is humble and shy over anyone shows the slightest bit of arrogance.
