The Romulan TOS uniforms were pretty cool, though. I'd like to see what an Abramsverse film could do with that.
Oh yes, I had forgotten about that. Agreed - it looks like some sort of prep-school uniform gone wrong!Surprised no one has mentioned the drab, ultra '70's, one piece pantsuit style disasters from Star Trek: The Motion(less) Picture.
I'll mention it. I absolutely hate those uniforms, and from what I've read the cast hated wearing them. My second choice would be Chekov's outfit with the white collar from Search for Spock. All I can say is WTF.

Funny you should mention that. I am one of only three known humans who actually like the TMP uniforms. I especially like The Shat's short-sleeve "off-duty" uniform. Plus, Nimoy never looked Spockier than in his grey unitard, and Nichelle looked very pretty in beige. The TWOK uniforms were fine for formal occasions, but they never looked like the kind of thing the crew should wear day-to-day.
Well, since the Capellans seemed to fight and slaughter at the slightest drop of a hat. I could see them wearing something that would provoke their enemies into antagonizing them.
"Sir; those warriors must be fearless and have balls of steel, Look at the outfits they're wearing. It's like they are daring us to make fun of them."
Kind of like Jayne's hat from Firefly.
What's even worse with the Fabrini are those Confederate Civil War styled caps.
But yeah, I'd have to give it up to the Capellans. Their getups remind me of something I'd rather not think about.

The Gorgon's shower curtain?
John Doe's "you can see my circumcision scar" unitard?
I'll go out on a limb and say....
Patrick Stewart's speedo from Captain's Holiday.
^^ Ummmm... what's ugly about that? ;-)
(is that supposed to be the lower-half of the Star Trek logo?).
