What are you even trying to say it's evident we each handle these inconsistencies in our own ways so you have no more place to pronounce the gospel length than I do, and you're making absolutely no effort to persuede me either so why should I care about what you think is an opinion or not?
Well, it's all our opinion, right? So no one will be "proven right" since the variation has gone on for years and years and years and no one will have it one way or the other.
In a way I agree it's all a big back and forth that will never be completely settled, and for satisfying my own head canon I don't need it to be settled conclusively. Much like how I don't need hot heads jumping up and down going "dude its 442 stick a fork in it!"
Hothead here. The problem is that you just make these proclamations that the ship isn't such and such, going against the direct word of the people who are in the positions to make such statements. It's not a matter of opinion, it's a fact until they say otherwise and not something for us to decide.
It goes right along with the arguments that the show isn't in the prime timeline, dispite statements to the contrary. Some things aren't for us to decide. If you want to make your own stories with your own facts about such and such, go ahead. That's called fan fiction.
But as it stands, that big beauty of a Constitution Class Starship named Enterprise, is officially 442m long.

Which is fine that it satisfies your head canon but saying "it will be proven otherwise" is kind of an absurdist position if it will never be completely settled. As it stands, on screen position is 442. Now, that can be debated by others more engineeringly minded than myself, but ultimately I don't get to determine the size of the sandbox I play in.

What you have to remember, is that this stupid argument has been going on for over 5 years. Ever since she first appeared in February of 2018. And even then, it somehow feels like an extension of the argument that started in 2008, over the size of the JJprise. Only this this time, we got some pretty concrete data on the ship in a comparatively short amount of time. Probably in an effort to avoid this exact argument.
The fact that to this day, you have people like Bernd Schneider over at EAS that refuse to accept what's staring them in the face is incredibly frustrating.
At this point, these arguments restart themselves even couple of weeks, or less. It's exhausting. And yes, it's on me that I seem unable to pull myself from these argument. I make no secret that I absolutely adore the "new" Enterprise. I am 100% biased in my defense of the ship.
I hope the size of the next version of the TOS Enterprise is too small. Let's bring some variation to this argument.

I wish it was the the same scale as the TMP Enterprise, so that the window placements actually make sense.
Either option makes more sense than the size we ended up with.
