Indeed. And fans have done a huge amount of heavy lifting never asked of them to try to make it line up.But this isn't an opinion. No ship has ever been consistent from the inside and outside. Canon has never done it.

What are you even trying to say it's evident we each handle these inconsistencies in our own ways so you have no more place to pronounce the gospel length than I do, and you're making absolutely no effort to persuede me either so why should I care about what you think is an opinion or not?But this isn't an opinion. No ship has ever been consistent from the inside and outside. Canon has never done it.
In a way I agree it's all a big back and forth that will never be completely settled, and for satisfying my own head canon I don't need it to be settled conclusively. Much like how I don't need hot heads jumping up and down going "dude its 442 stick a fork in it!"Well, it's all our opinion, right? So no one will be "proven right" since the variation has gone on for years and years and years and no one will have it one way or the other.

At this point you are just being trollishly flippant and deserve no more attention. In the words of ortegus. Whatever tweaks your freak buddy.
Which is fine that it satisfies your head canon but saying "it will be proven otherwise" is kind of an absurdist position if it will never be completely settled. As it stands, on screen position is 442. Now, that can be debated by others more engineeringly minded than myself, but ultimately I don't get to determine the size of the sandbox I play in.In a way I agree it's all a big back and forth that will never be completely settled, and for satisfying my own head canon I don't need it to be settled conclusively. You put words in my mouth, I had only said "I'm gonna chaulk this one up for-" when talking about a single measurement. That is not some absolute proclamation as you make it out to be. Had you chilled out instead of escalateing and trying to brow beat down the conversation we probably wouldn't still be here talking about it.Hothead here. The problem is that you just make these proclamations that the ship isn't such and such, .
What you have to remember, is that this stupid argument has been going on for over 5 years. Ever since she first appeared in February of 2018. And even then, it somehow feels like an extension of the argument that started in 2008, over the size of the JJprise. Only this this time, we got some pretty concrete data on the ship in a comparatively short amount of time. Probably in an effort to avoid this exact argument. You put words in my mouth, I had only said "I'm gonna chaulk this one up for-" when talking about a single measurement. Maybe then we can atleast get back to what matters, adding a Sombrero to the ship.I hope the size of the next version of the TOS Enterprise is too small. Let's bring some variation to this argument.
Ahhhh ... the good old days ... When Sombreros ruled the BBS roost.Maybe then we can atleast get back to what matters, adding a Sombrero to the ship.![]()
Did we ever get an updated version for the Discoprise?

I've already seen that complaint made against the 1701-G

I'm fine with the G being smaller. Ships were getting far too massive, anyways. Hell, I wish it was even smaller so that it's saucer matched the size of the SNW Enterprise
Either option makes more sense than the size we ended up with.I wish it was the the same scale as the TMP Enterprise, so that the window placements actually make sense.
