Spoilers The Strange New Worlds Starship Thread™

This isn't quite starship related, nor is it specifically SNW related, but it feels too petty for a GTD thread; it was a weird choice to combine the captain's ready room with the conference room in DSC, and to continue it in PIC and SNW, and I don't like it.

It was pretty overt in this week's episode, where multiple Pike-less meetings took place in his ready room. What if he needed to write a report, or talk to an Admiral? Does he just boot out the science briefing or Spock and La'an's heart-to-heart, or is it first come, first serve, and he has to go down and do his job in his quarters? I guess it makes life easier to when filming the shows to have one room that does both, but it doesn't make any sense why the ships would be put together that way.
There may be 2 rooms that look alike :D

I remember the Vor'cha was originally designed with a blue-gray hull that matched the Enterprise-D to suggest there'd been some design collaboration, since the Federation and the Klingons were allies. The CG version changed the color of it (and the Neg'var) to green to match the Bird of Prey.

I'm a bit late here (sorry!) but in future, mind the spoilers for other Trek shows. Put them behind tags please.

Y'know with Pelia around there's a real possibility for a flashback episode à la Carbon Creek (which itself gave us two as of yet unseen vulcan ship classes) it would be a good opportunity to revisit the ships of the ENT era, maybe get the actual class names for the Warp Delta, and Half Saucer, or figure out when is the Daedalus class active, etc.

It might help add to the asset pool too, I could see NX-refit/Columbia class with a warp 7 engine being as enduring for its times as the Excelsior or Miranda classes were for theirs, the Daedalus itself is just plain immortal, and if we're gonna keep swinging around to core worlds like Vulcan it would be nice to have some of those founding species specific ships to throw into the background.

Beautiful. Though I wonder why he went to the trouble of adding the windows along the saucer rim, but didn't change the bridge window? Regardless, it's astoundingly good.
