What’s the source for the Cabot’s 1427 registry ? I see it on Memory Alpha but nowhere else. Was it in the Short Trek ? It’s been a while since I watched it but don’t remember it being very visible.

It’s new to me. Checking the Memory Alpha page history I find this:

That really sucks. Glad I got a chance to get the last few ships I really wanted.
Placed my last order the end of May and got the ships within seven days.
I've got all the regular size versions of the Enterprise now TOS - Discovery.
(always felt the XL size ships were over priced)

I was hoping to get a second version of the Discovery Enterprise from SNW and was thinking about getting the DS-9 station.
Guess that's gone by the wayside now.

One thing I do like about the SNW Enterprise is the grill nacelle end caps. I always preferred that version over the 'bulbs' and thought it was strange that latter was picked over the former.

If I remember right, they were trying to avoid any hint that the engines worked like rockets, so they didn't want exhaust holes at the back. I never really liked the ball at the back either, until someone pointed out that it was a bit like the end of a tesla coil rod that's running through the whole nacelle. That helped it click with me.

Since TOS re-used shots of the Enterprise model with grille and bulbs then one could imagine the nacelle end caps being able to switch between grille and bulb as necessary

I like the strangeness of the ball. Makes you wonder how the nacelles work. What they actually do.
