Spoilers The Strange New Worlds Starship Thread™

Brain and brain, WHAT IS BRAIN?!?!

So.. USS Cayuga.. With the season finale nearly apon us. Thoughts on whether it's a Connie or a Sombra? Guesses at NCC number? Or did you think SNW is going to leave us hanging?

They did borrow the Farragut's registry from the Star Trek Encyclopedia.

The latest edition of the Encyclopedia from 2016 does not list the Farragut as a Connie, but earlier editions apparently did.

They were brave enough to reimagine the Farrgut as a new class of ship, so I'm kinda surprised they went with feaux-Connies at all.
How is that being brave? Canon has never said what class the Farragut was, so they were free to do whatever they want.

It was likely assumed Farragut, and Intrepid for that matter, were Constitution class because both were stated to have 400 crew. Franz Joseph certainly did, along with almost every other fanon publication.

If they dropped the farragut as a (possibly wrecked) connie then maybe the Cayuga is taking its place?

As for the sombra class hopefully the next time to help tell them apart they stick a third nacelle under the engineering hull, and that reason third nacelles get lost easily on emergency landings.
