The One Thing You Could Change, ENTERPRISE Edition...

On the whole sexy jumpsuit thing

Firstly if a writer feels the need to make the girls show a bit of T&A to get viewers watching then maybe he needs to question if he is any good as a writer and find another job

Secondly aside from that if you really do feel the need for a bit of sex appeal what was wrong with the Starfleet gear I mean it's not like we all thought Hoshi was some slimy hideous troll because she was in blue overalls

Generally more aesthetic and tech influence from Forbidden Planet, including no viewscreens
Just like Malcolm, Hoshi and T'Pol face inward (basically toward the captain), turn the helm completely around so Travis is too. They all have their back's to the bridge outer walls.

There are display screens on the consoles and walls in places, but no big viewscreen like a windshield on a metro bus.

Or in blue decontamination goo.

Sad that spray gun technology was apparently lost during WW3

I would think the vulcans would have given us Some technology..
Artificial gravity..
Sensors ( obviously dumbed down human export version)
subspace ( But no access to there network)
Basically anything related to safety.. i think they would have gave us, but make us eventually build it.. 1st one is free.. the rest is up to you..
As for the viewscreen.. We have that technology now!

A lot of good suggestions here.

My wish:

That Manny Coto had been in charge from day one. I enjoy several episodes from the first three seasons but it felt like the writers were running on fumes from the very beginning.

Other changes:

Jolene is gorgeous, and I have no problem with her outfits, but the gratuitous decon and massage scenes were an absolute embarrassment.

Taking more risks and telling more dramatic stories with characters in Season 1 AKA just make Season 1 better. If this worked this would probably have a ripple effect so that the course corrections of later seasons, no matter how good they were, weren't needed.

Maybe bring in Manny Coto since day one... 90s Trek was spluttering and ENT felt more like it had more in shoehorning in connection to 24th century Trek as opposed to the 22nd. Apart from "Reed alert" to foreshadow "red alert"... Or just not make it a prequel since there weren't any questions needing to be answered that were really engaging enough.

You know, my runner up answer to the TCW has always been Manny Coto.

Had he been on since the start, we might have gotten 7 seasons.

Fifth season. It happens, as planned. Elizabeth lives, Shran joins the cast, Romulan rumbles, Federation forms.

As a necessary part of this, "These are the Voyages" either never occurs, or it's the 4th season closer, and set in 2155 instead of 2161.

True.
Kirk: Iowa
Picard: France (Riker was Alaskan)
Sisko: Louisiana
Janeway: Indiana
Where was Archer from again?

We Washingtonians (1) aren't interesting enough and (2) we're into coffee, not catfish. And coffee had already been done.

Then make him from California, and the Xindi weapon can take out the San Joaquin Valley, it would be an improvement. :D

I think that Spock's no ship to ship visual communications in Balance of Terror wasn't that they didn't have the technology to do it, it was that individual ship's officers were ordered not to do it.

No communications with the enemy.

Now I'm trying to imagine if Tripp had been a Californian stereotype instead of a Southern one...
Like would he have been the Doctor character and had tried to treat everyone with energy crystals and alternative medicine?
