The old Trek series is leaving Netflix.

In the Netherlands we have SkyShowtime, which is basically the home for Paramount stuff. The Star Trek stuff there varies, sometimes they have all the movies, sometimes all the shows. I wonder if this means everything will move there permanently.

Well, as far as permanently is a thing in the world of streaming.

I feel confident that Paramount+ will keep the Trek series in perpetuity. (Prodigy was the lone exception.) Star Trek is Paramount+'s bread and butter. It is literally a make or break property for them. Without Trek, I'm pretty sure the service would fold. (Even the announcement video for the new Spaceballs movie jokes about it being an entire streaming service devoted to Star Trek.)

They have all the Taylor Sheridan shows, The Good Fight, Evil, Yellowjackets, Mayor of Kingstown, Lioness etc., which are all successful and/or critically acclaimed and I'm sure several of them do better than Star Trek which really isn't that big anymore outside the fandom bubble.

Good choice. :D The official video is so overloaded with 80s neon that it might fry your eyeballs, like this:

Get the sunscreen and sunglasses goggles out before playing... also, Radioactive Man:

(Yup, "Get a Life" was deemed too surreal and morbid, so let's do the same thing but as a drawn cartoon instead of a live action one! )

I have made sure that I have all of the Trek stuff I care about on physical disk. While we do subscribe to some streaming services, I generally use them for new movies or movies I've never seen that I won't want to re-watch. Anything I really enjoy or know I will rewatch often, I will buy the disk.

for Star Trek, that means I have:
All 4 Kelvin Films in 4K

You guys are brutal.

Really? Should you respond to this post, you might be surprised. My Christmas name might be intimidating, and if you seen DIE HARD 2, I can confirm I knocked Bruce Willis right off my jumbo-jet plane, just before it and I exploded. Still, no pressure.

As for Netflix, I still wish to watch that new FRANKENSTEIN flick, but it appears to be malfunctioning for me. The penalty may not be severe, though. Some things are more forgivable than others. And at least my HBO's working fine.

Huh. I always thought it was spelled Stewart.

So, today is the day - at least here in the UK. I've been watching some of my favourite ENT episodes over the last couple of days:
"Broken Bow"
"Silent Enemy"
"Shuttlepod One"
"Acquisition"
"Detained"
"Carbon Creek"
"Dead Stop"
and I've just watched "Vox Sola" and "A Night in Sickbay" - I love those snotty Kreetassans! If I have time later I'll squeeze in another two or three, but the very last one will be my most watched ENT ep: "Precious Cargo" :adore:

What're the last few episodes of Trek on Netflix that you've all watched?

I don’t live in the UK, but this affects me too. It must be a UK- and Europe-wide thing. Honestly, I wouldn’t even mind switching to Paramount+. What I really loved about watching Star Trek on Netflix, though, was the huge selection of language options available here—Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Russian… some titles even had Thai and Japanese. That was pretty amazing.

Paramount+, on the other hand, only offers the local language and English, which is incredibly frustrating. Believe it or not, I actually learned quite a bit of Italian just by watching Star Trek in Italian with subtitles. Sadly, that’s no longer an option.

To answer the question:

ENT – Stigma
VOY – Resolutions
TNG – Lessons
TOS – The Enterprise Incident
DS9 – The Search

These are the last ones I watched—and, surprise surprise, they’re also some of my all-time favorites.

~ Oh, what a great idea! I'll have to give that a try. Just with some other show, now.

I managed to watch 3 more ENT eps:
"Future Tense"
"Carpenter Street"
"Precious Cargo" :adore:

I'd better look into getting ENT on DVD or BluRay, I suppose.
