Spoilers The new (massive spoiler) ship!

So
1701 lasted 40 years 2245-2285
A lasted 8 years, 2285 to 2293, Caveat of it probably wasn't a new ship to begin with, just a re christening.
B lasted unknown 2293- ????
C lasted unknown ????-2345
D lasted 8 years 2365-2373
E lasted 12 years 2373 - 2286??
F lasted 19 years 2286 - 2405?

Yet Excelsiors, Mirandas, Constellations last for nearly 100 years.
AND .. Sovereigns were in there fleet in S2..

I was really hoping that the Odyssey class F would never count too but here we are

I was very disappointed when I saw they were using the Odyssey class for the Enterprise-F. And even more annoyed that if they were going to use it, that not only did it look like low-poly crap, it wasn't even the marginally better-looking Yorktown variant. I also assumed that the shot of it flying past was the last scene of the series (presumably being commissioned), but now it's the first scene of the season, and it's being decommissioned? With hide nor hair of the Enterprise-E's fate? Why did they feel so beholden to STO that they needed to show this ship, and its decommissioning, no less? Wouldn't it have made more sense to show the E's decommissioning instead?

So now the only thing I have to look forward to, Enterprise-wise, is if they show a new Enterprise-G at the end of the series. But that's by no means certain, and even f they did, it will probably be designed by John Eaves.

It's from a 'possible future', so it could still exist.

The three-nacelled Enterprise-D from "All Good Things..." was from a possible future too. Does that exist?

2293 to 2344 is 51 years. Even if the Enterprise-B and C served for roughly an equal amount of time, each ship would only have been in service for 25 years. But we don't know that. We also don't know the fate of the B, or how long the C lasted before it was destroyed. We do know that the C would have lasted at least until the 2360's when it would have been decommissioned to make way for the D.

Erm, no? If the E-C had been in good shape, the Galaxy class probably would've gotten a different name.

I'm not so sure about that. At least Sternbach's tech manual states that the Galaxy class project had already started 20 years before the beginning of TNG, and that they were going to name the second ship after the prototype the Enterprise. If I'm remembering correctly; I don't have the book in front of me at present.

The Enterprise E in Nemisis had its front quarter gnarled up .. yet they fixed it/ refit it and sent it on its way. Yet it seems less than 5 years latter it got decommissioned.

Hope they do like they did between the C and D after the F, just let the name rest.

Well that one ship we saw in the newest trailer was designed by him (other than the nacelles and bridge module)

I'd be ok with that. I'd also be ok with someone else who hasn't designed a ship before to make something truly original. (That was not a cut on Bill, who I think makes fabulous designs for the TOS and TMP era.)

I'd give them a buffalo nickel if they contacted Atolm to do some designs..
