Spoilers The NCC-82893 Thread

This is not some leak, or secret behind the scenes reveal.
It's still a spoiler for those who avoid these things.

New Stragazers oficial Delta.
That's just the standard ~2399 Starfleet Delta seen in Season 1, nothing new

Especially after what happened that made him leave in the first place.
Starfleet probably cleaned itself up after the events of Season 1, after Oh was outed.
Remember it was Oh that gave the order for his Captain to kill the synths.

Alternate timeline me thinks.
Nah most of this is from a segment setting up Season 2's backstory, I'm almost certain the alternate timeline stuff hasn't happened yet.

Is it official that Rios is the captain of the ship?

And I agree about the spoiler tag. Just because there’s been an official reveal doesn’t mean that people who haven’t seen the show yet will want to know about it. Plus, there’s already two threads discussing this.

I’m with you there. There’s a chance that this is an alternate timeline as well, as some have speculated, but ‪‪I don’t think that makes a lot of sense given how they’re promoting the first few episodes, i.e. the clips and interviews from this week’s Ready Room, and several promotional interviews from the Picard Season 2 press junket.

With all the information we’ve gotten so far, it seems like a lot happens in the year+ time that’s gone by the characters since Season 1 ended.

When Jurati comes on the bridge in the Ready Room clips, she says "So, what's the big hurry... Captain?" to Rios.

Here's my best guess of what the bridge layout could look like:

I think there are three chairs in the middle - the way the one next to Rios' big chair looks too far of to the side and behind that railing to have there be only two. The bridge as such seems pretty wide... The back feature looks to be a door to a conference room. I'm guessing this Stargazer won't have THAT many sets besides the bridge and corridor, so they'll have to economize what they can use. I don't think this ship will be the center of too much action this season, but I'm hoping I could be wrong!

Muddied up the title and added spoiler tag for people wanting to go in cold.
It's not a spoiler, any more than Q, Guinan, the new 10 forward, the Borg Queen, or a ton of other things showcased in the trailers and promo material, all which legit got their own appropriately titled threads, for people to hype and discuss, soon after they were shown and announced.

Like those, the Stargazer is an active visual and narrative part of their ongoing promo campaign, no different than those others, yet the one single element you isolated as a "spoiler"? Can we please change the Stargazers thread title back. ;)

Similar wall art like on the E

The ship could have metaphasic shields

And I hope the plaque says it was built in Bedford Falls ;)

Well, yeah, I'd sort of gathered that.

I meant, why? What made him return to the fleet? He didn't seem like the type who would. Especially after what happened that made him leave in the first place.
He was forced out but still "smelled" like "SF to the core".

From the original thread:.
Didn't see one for the Stargazer?
This was made to be The Stargazer NCC-82893 specific thread. Just a mod hid the title.

TOS alert light.
Love the comparison.

Is there another way you can load your image or file.
I would love to see your schematic for the new Stargazer bridge layout.

From the Rios La Sirena thread:
Apparently he gave La Sirena to Seven, although hopefully she brings La Sirena on board as the permanent Shuttle/Runabout of the Stargazer
Now wouldn't that be something!
Though I worry she might be a little too big for that, depending on how large the shuttle bay is...
But somehow picturing Rios without Sirena feels strange, as good as the pips look on him, so I hope she sticks around post-Q-shenanigans.

The Stargazer will need a pretty huge shuttlebay to bring La Sirena on board. I'm not sure it'd even fit into Discovery. Then again the Stargazer looks like a pretty huge ship.
Going by the exterior shot, and layout
The new Stargazer looks pretty massive. La Sirena might fit in her shuttlebay.;)

Has it been stated what class of starship the new Stargazer is? Its also interesting that the ship has a new registry. That would conform to how things usually went in the older shows (same name/different registry), the Enterprises and that one Defiant being the notable exceptions. However, at some point after the TNG era, Starfleet appears to have relaxed this policy so now you can have something like NCC-74656-J.
