Um, isn’t that supposed to be the Stargazer?
Um, yeah,
That's the point.

Oh yeah that works (more squiggly than I expected:p)
I do see what you mean about the three chairs.
Here's my best guess of what the bridge layout could look like:

I think there are three chairs in the middle - the way the one next to Rios' big chair looks too far of to the side and behind that railing to have there be only two. The bridge as such seems pretty wide... The back feature looks to be a door to a conference room. I'm guessing this Stargazer won't have THAT many sets besides the bridge and corridor, so they'll have to economize what they can use. I don't think this ship will be the center of too much action this season, but I'm hoping I could be wrong!

You said ‘there was also that mystery ship design from earlier’ as if it was supposed to be a different ship than this one. Or perhaps I misunderstood you.

Yeah that was a mystery ship when it was first posted.
Not anymore obviously.
Context!
I wonder if anyone's started making a 3D model of it yet.
There are already some creative concept models rendered -

Although all these bits have given a pretty good idea of what it looks like. Can't wait to see the actual full ship as they designed it, rendered and in motion.

Nobody said it was renders of this Stargazer:lol:
I said just some concepts of contemporary Stargazers, if some want to see they are out there (and some nice creative ones) .
The fact that in the same sentence I also said
. "Can't wait to see the actual full ship as they designed it, rendered and in motion.:
Should have tipped you off.
Context people!

You never used the word contemporary in your original post.I thought you meant people did 3D models based off what we've seen so far.
I didn't have to in my original post, since the as described "creative concepts" I linked to, were self evident.
But since you ignored what I wrote and instead jumped to the conclusion you'd be looking at the actual PicardS2 Stargezers. I used it in reply, to distinguish what you were conflating.

Love the Trekyard guys breakdowns.
Even with what little we have to work with.

Was hoping they'd have a better/sharper grab of this rotation.

I'm sure they had a discussion about it. Discovery adds letters to everything, even a U.S.S. Excalibur-M is in the background of an episode. But with TNG vets on board PIC, I'm sure they'll continue doing things the old fashioned way, which is a shame cos I was fascinated by the U.S.S. Yamato NCC-1305-E when I was a child.

Right, I never understood why registry number + letter combination was confined only to the Enterprises. In universe, what made these ships so special that they all deserved a reuse of the 1701 serial number? Only the Enterprise-D was a flag ship.

The NCC-1701-A registry seems to be half a 'thanks for literally saving the world from an alien probe' present for Kirk and half a tribute to the exceptional ship that he blew up. Then they decided to put a letter on the next Enterprise as well, and that cemented it as a tradition.

They may have started another tradition here with the Stargazer's x2983 registry. Someone will have to blow it up for us to find out.

When they made the Enterprise-A at the end of TVH, that set the precedent for TNG, which debuted after that movie. But early TNG did not establish that it was only for the Enterprise; just the opposite. A season 1 episode featured the Galaxy class Yamato's registry as 1305-E, which implied that it was the sixth starship to bear that name. Although curiously they didn't have that scheme for the Hood, which was at least the second starship to bear the name but didn't have an A suffix or a 17XX registry.

The Yamato was a mistake that made it past script review, the writer didn't realize there was a rule against other ships having letters. The letter was later retconned away.
