My first vote will be for "Birthright, Part II".

I just don't see why so many people hate this episode. Worf was teaching those young Klingons about their own culture. Why would anyone have a problem with that?

Plus, these Klingons have lived with the Romulans and worked with them. They have had good relations with Romulans, and good opinions of them. Having them be a part of society at large can help spread the message that Romulans need not be so hated by their fellow Klingons.

Granted, not everyone will listen to them, but I'm sure some people would, and others would continue, and so on... a ripple effect that can flow continually. And isn't that one of the core messages of STAR TREK: moving past hatred into a place of understanding and peace?

I just never thought "When the Bough Breaks" was so terrible. Some of the rest, on the other hand....

"Samaritan Snare". Yeah it's dumb, but, it's also pretty fun. And the scenes between Picard and Wesley in the shuttle are really good.

I'll go with Samaritan Snare because I like the B-plot with Picard and Crusher. It's fun hearing about Picard's wilder past.

I'll finish off "Samaritan Snare", only because I looooooove what Lower Decks has done with the Pakleds. Before that, I never would have been able to argue this one as a favorite.

I'll give my point for the next round to "Haven." This one is a lot of fun.

Random detail to praise, but this truly has one of their best viewscreen backdrops of the whole series - the gorgeous Haven scenery behind Valeda Innis.

Also, her title was awesome -- First Electorine -- and the actress cast was so memorable. They did such a great job of etching a vivid picture of Haven with just a few tiny details.

Ugghhhh. So much junk. The only episode I wanted to save is already gone.

"Masterpiece Society" is probably the least offensive entry here.

"Cost of Living" gets a save vote from me for a few reasons, one of which is Picard stating "nothing would please me more than to give away Mrs. Troi." :guffaw:

Haven isn't a bad introduction for Lwaxana Troi, and it holds up better than Cost of Living.

“Galaxy’s Child” is actually the only episode here that I’m not sure belongs in this company. I don’t find it to be memorable, but there’s nothing about it I find objectionable. It’s kind of fun, actually.

Tragically, the "baby alien" subplot is one of Trek's most better efforts. The cringefest with Geordi and Leah... it bothers some of us.

I'll vote for "Haven" even if it's for the very amusing dinner scene.

It seems to be a pretty split field in this game, making it more fascinating about the outcome. Obviously, everybody's mileage varies here but the only episode here that's a bottom 5 episode of TNG here is Aquiel.

Everything else is middling to average.

Oh, I am so going to save "The Outr "Haven". While another story comes to mind, it and "Haven" have the most interesting and/or original subject material. But that's another story...

Maybe it's the truly forgettable ones that no one bothers to save.

EDIT: Haven got its 4th while I was posting, so it's a reset. Repeating my vote for "Masterpiece Society". Even though it's no masterpiece...

Oh, gods, I've just read the quotes from "Cost of Living" on Memory Alpha and there's no way I'm not voting for it again now. Lwaxana and Alexander make a wonderful team! :adore: :guffaw:
