I on the other hand find your lack of faith disturbing.Agreed. Please stop confusing the issue with facts. I find it...disturbing.
I was underwhelmed by this episode and I continue to wonder what the point of this show is other than being a nostalgia-fest.
No it's a modified one of these:Wasn't that a Grevious style fighter that was greebled up at the end?
FANS: We want stuff that reminds us of the old times
Disney: *makes stuff like the old times*
FANS: *cry in outrage*
Stop thinking of the OT as the invention of something brilliant. As amazing as it was, it was a re-hash of old stories in a new lick of paint. If that's your problem with The Mandalorian....... I think you get my point.
I'm going to wait till it finishes it's run before I rule them 100% stand alone........I have a feeling they have been dropping some bread crumbs along the way. Of course there are so many armchair writers/directors online that just KNOW this isn't REAL STAAR WARS.I was underwhelmed by this episode and I continue to wonder what the point of this show is other than being a nostalgia-fest.
For a show with only 8 episodes, they sure are devoting a lot of time to stand alone stories.
That is what sells right now, so that is the point is to engage in the nostalgia, why dropping in smaller bits of new stuff.I was underwhelmed by this episode and I continue to wonder what the point of this show is other than being a nostalgia-fest.
I’m not one of those fans who only loves the OT though.
My biggest problem with The Mandalorian is that there isn’t an interesting ongoing storyline. The last 3 episodes have been completely stand alone (at least they appear to be stand alone). And they’ve all been stories done to death on other sci fi shows.
Fans: I want a story line that's gonna last several seasons!!!
Disney: *a few episodes in....*
Fans: *cry in outrage*
Long term satisfaction against instant gratification.
AKA.... be patient
How many chances were taken/how deep were they six eps in?Why I like Rebels and clone Wars the best.. Took chances, told a deeper story.
That's not how I remember Babylon 5. They sometimes had questions answered several seasons later.Well, something like babylon 5, they posed questions, but didn't let them linger till the end of season
Not alwaysGood shows don't "wait around" for payoff, they're always good.
