Spoilers The Mandalorian | Disney+ | Streaming Nov. 12

Holy hell Episode 3 was great!!! anyone notice the Iron Man nod at the end? :) This series is a Masterpiece. So anyone feel that Warner Hertzog is an Imperial Regional Governor? Plus is the scientist looking in Baby Yoda for midichlorians? I think Yoda and Baby Yoda is going to be explained as the race of Whills. :)

Who cares about a new trilogy. I think the Mandalorian and the Kenobi series and even more Star Wars TV series is a great way to go, give more time to create and plan a new direction for the Star Wars film series.

Any thoughts?

I just wonder if anyone at Disney realized Greef rhymes with the Q word LOL. The guy needs a new name. I feel bad for Carl Weathers. Such a great actor.

Just a bad name. :) Great actor great character. Horrid name. As bad as Lucas originally naming the bounty hunter Tuckuss instead of Zuckuss.

I think Greef was putting a brave front going after Mando for Warner Hertzog's Imperial character. Am I right?

Yeah I was impressed. Really felt like a live action Clone Wars episode. I could have done without the flying salute at the very end. I do love cheese though.......lol.
This whole series has been like live action Clone Wars.
I love the Armorer's armor.
Something I thought was interesting I forgot to mention before is the fact that Greef Karga was just calling the main character Mando. So apparently even the people he deals with on a regular basis don't know his real name.
Wait, his name's not Mando Fett?

No no no more Fett's please lol

Hey Fireproof I agree. But Im saying. Let the new movies or new trilogy be created and planned better. So as to take the time and pressure off Lucasfilm.

I just hope its done right :) Isnt Mando just short for Mandalorian? Mando needs a killer name. :)

Too bad (D)jango is already taken, would have fit nicely.

KANE FETT anyone? For Mando?

A nod to Lucas's old Star Wars original drafts with Kane Starkiller father of Annikin and Deak hiding on Utapau from Sith Knights.

But I'm also thinking of the name as a tribute to the excellent Kane Hodder of the Friday the 13th series. The one the only true Jason :)

Very nice!
I especially liked the Rocketeer Mando flying salute at the end!
Since Dave is a part of the crew.. Looking forward to see how they reconcile the "Don't remove the helmet" thing they have going and the Sabine wren.. and pretty much every other Mando in Rebels and TCW..
First thought was, in Star trek, the Breen with there Helmets and suits in the books, its a coverup for all the species that make up the breen, so they can't see who is under the helmet, so treats everybody the same.. So maybe this particular clan isn't all "Human" maybe its a destroyed clan thats gettings new memebers from whoever they save along the way, and they observe a strict helmet policy to keep any bias's away.. Just a thought.. Though not seeing Pedro's face the whole time .. huh.. Judge Dredd anybody? :)

Ok :) I'm good with Greef Fireproof. You're right ;)

Good greef Fireproof LOL.

Lucasfilm should have a Mandalorian naming contest though. Could be a cool promotion for the show :)

I"m hoping for some great Mandalorian novels too.

Considering this is Disney Plus and everyone is talking about Nostalgia, my first thought was Rocketeer as well, not Iron Man.

No. They can be, but not always.

The stormtroopers in this show are in no way "extras." They're featured performers. One rule is the director herself cannot give direction to an extra. If she does, they are immediately upgraded.

The stormies here had elaborate action/choreography to perform, not even counting stunts and not even allowing that their voices were dubbed later. You also get a bump if you're wearing an elaborate costume, which these obvoiusly were.

Ain't no way in the universe they were unpaid.

Mandalorian guns disintegrate people.
Hence "no disintegrations" in TESB.

Because you just assume every baby you meet is Force sensitive and can life mudhorns on command? That's daft, as reasoning goes.
Hardly. If as was suggested he saw Yoda mid-battle, odds are he'd be using the force and doing Yoda things. So seeing a member of the same species doing something similar wouldn't be as confusing as if he'd never seen anything like it before. He was clearly stumped, ergo; not seen anything like it before. QED

Besides as if it wasn't obvious from the flashbacks, he was most likely saved from that battledroid by Mandos, not Jedi.

Speaking as someone that's known some reenactor types in my time: no organised group shows up to a *for profit* event or shoot without a fee (different if it's a charity thing, but that obviously doesn't apply here.) And even if that weren't the case did I don't think Filloni or Lucasfilm would take the piss and not pay them for their time. And yes, unionised sets have very specific rules about who gets paid for what and how much.

I have a feeling the 501st members were used as background. The ones performing stunts are actual SAMP/SAG members. Plus I've been on sets where the director tells a 2AD to relay direction sidestepping that rule. I am sure they got the bump for their uniforms.

It's from an episode that we have not seen yet and includes Gina Carano. Members have stated they were asked on a Monday if they could be at an event 9am Weds. They were not told what it was beforehand.
