The Librarians

The alternate timeline stuff was fun, but it would have been better if we had spent the whole episode with the regular versions of the characters we've spent the whole season with.
I did like how they tied all of the artifacts from the previous episodes into this one.
I did like the reveal of who Dulaque and Jenkins were.
I was really disappointed that they broke the team up at the end. Although, I guess if that was the end of the whole series, I could see it being a nice ending. I'm assuming if/when it comes back for season 2 we'll get the whole tam back together.
I do agree with Christopher that it was a little weird that the first episode of the night was a purely technological story, when the show usually deals with magic. I do think we got some nice character stuff for Stone though, and I did like his love interest.

I thought it was a real nice wrap up to the mini series; if it's not renewed, at least we won't get stuck with a cliffhanger. The alternate timelines demonstrated that each of the Junior Librarians has the potential to be the Librarian. And we got confirmation that Jenkins is Galahad (I wonder who Judson and Charlene are-- or do we know, and I've forgotten?). The weirdest thing about the finale is that Morgan Le Fay did not reappear. It definitely would have worked better as a two-parter, to flesh the whole thing out.

I can't believe they killed Lamia, though. I was hoping that, after Dulaque betrayed her, that she would switch sides and join the Librarians for good.
Which would have happened, since it did in one of the alternate timelines. Kind of a waste of potential.

We saw a thousand year old painting of the first Librarian that looked just like Judson.

There might have been more on the subject. :)

The only thing I found off about the finale was the pacing. Its almost like the pacing of a Steven Moffat Doctor Who finale... frantic with lots of cognitive jumps that required the audience to fill in the gaps for themselves. Its very different from the rest of the episodes, almost to the point where its jarring because it was such a drastic change in pace.

In an episode centering on characters sliding between realities, suddenly Jerry O'Connell appears; I got a good laugh from that.

To be honest, I've been getting a faint Sliders vibe from this show anyway. There are four main characters (1 pure genius, 1 action hero genius, 1 strong female and 1 street smart character); and they usually have a stumbling, rough exit from their travel portal.

We just had the haunted house episode in the UK, which was good - I liked Cassandra getting to stand her ground.

Mind you I kept nearly falling off my chair every time they mentioned "the darkheart"...

We had the finale in the UK last night- good fun, and nice Dr Who ref immediately followed by an Army of Darkness ref...

Yessssss!!!! I enjoyed the whole season but just adored the season finale. It ended on such a positive note that I would be satisfied as a viewer even if it hadn't been renewed--but I'm also definitely looking forward to where they'll go next!

How much do I love Noah Wyle as Flynn Carsen? So much. Good news today indeed.

This is good news. I saw the three films late last year when SyFy UK showed them, and found them to be enjoyable enough. I only caught a couple of episodes of the show, but I ended up watching the season finale and I thought it was great. Need to go back and watch the whole season now.

Huzzah! I had a feeling it would get renewed, but I'll admit I was getting a little worried with the delayed renewal.

Really glad to hear this. I loved the show.
It will be interesting to see where they pick up after the finale.
