The least disliked episode of TNG - Final Round

Random action flick vs a moving civil rights episode? No contest. Q Who gets the axe.

Q Who? - 1
The Measure of a Man - 1

I love both episodes equally! I might have to sit this one out. It's too hard to vote for either QW or TMOAM.

Q Who gets my point. Measure of Man has some genius genius writing and is just... AAAH!! It's so good

Q Who? - 2
The Measure of a Man - 1

Difficult both episodes have good and bad points. And I would say on balance they cancel each other out. But if I had to pick one to elimante, it would be "The Measure of a Man".

Q Who? - 2
The Measure of a Man - 2

Any reason you gave another point to Tapestry, Seven of Five? ;)

Actually, just had a new kitten that thinks I'm playing with her whenever I'm typing on the keyboard. How rude.

I'll vote for Q Who, just because I like Measure of a Man a bit more. I like how two episodes of season two have made it to the final though. Quite an interesting mix of episodes to vote for really.

Q Who - 3
Measure of a Man - 2

Goodbye Q Who?

Measure of a Man was just a great TREK episode. Great episode that spurs discussion.

1. The Measure of a Man
2. Q Who?
3. The Defector

That's a worthy lineup. For those who don't know, we'll go through each Trek series with this game, amassing a winner and the two runners up from each. Then we'll pit all those episodes against each other in one final deciding round in the General Trek forum.

Thanks for playing everyone! I hope you'll join me in playing again in the Original Series forum, later today! :bolian:

If you are going through the other Trek shows, can I make one suggestion. In the individual season showdowns have each episode require two votes in order to be eliminated.

I get what you're saying, you don't like popular episodes to be removed quickly by people who do it either to stop them winning, or maybe their tastes are particularly peculiar. But really, the fun of the game is the way that it's so unpredictable, it's the way we've always done it. It's different from simply gathering a consensus on "what's the best episode of this season?" It's supposed to be a bit of fun, an interesting game. :)

Ture, but if it's the least disliked, shouldn't there be some consus to it. Besides if people are eliminating episodes to stop them from winning doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose. Sure eliminate what is considered to be a great episode because you don't like it, but eliminating it to prevent it from winning because it's a good episode I don't agree with.

But at the end of the day your game your rules, I was just seeing what others thought about it.

I don't mind popular episodes getting eliminated quickly, but I think if you're going to do it, the episode you eliminate should really be your least favorite, instead of just your least favorite among the episodes you are concerned might win. That's how Journey's End won.
