The least disliked episode of TNG - Final Part

I actually totally blanked that Measure of a Man is still here; I'll adjust my vote for this round accordingly.

Q Who - 0
The Measure of a Man - 2
Yesterday's Enterprise - 0
The Best of Both Worlds (I) - 0
Chain of Command (II) - 1
All Good Things - 0

^you seem to have missed a point for Chain of Command from earlier (Fixed it in my post). I really don't know which one to vote for myself at the moment, so I'll have a think about it... and possibly give it a miss in the end anyway :D

Q Who - 0
The Measure of a Man - 2
Yesterday's Enterprise - 0
The Best of Both Worlds (I) - 0
Chain of Command (II) - 2
All Good Things - 0

"Chain of Command." Thank Mr. Riker, for being an ass. The inane plot contrivance of him being the only one who can pilot the shuttle isn't exactly a plus, either.

Q Who - 0
The Measure of a Man - 2
Yesterday's Enterprise - 0
The Best of Both Worlds (I) - 0
Chain of Command (II) - 3
All Good Things - 0

Will vote Measure Of A Man. It is in my top 20 episodes and everything else is in my top 10.

Q Who - 0
The Measure of a Man - 3
Yesterday's Enterprise - 0
The Best of Both Worlds (I) - 0
Chain of Command (II) - 3
All Good Things - 0

No, I rescinded my own vote for Chain of Command after seeing that Measure of a Man is still here. So I removed my vote for CoC and added it instead to MoaM.

Updated list is therefore:

Q Who - 0
The Measure of a Man - 3
Yesterday’s Enterprise - 0
The Best of Both Worlds (I) - 0
Chain of Command (II) - 2
All Good Things - 0

Chain of Command I & II was a conflict ridden dramatic powerhouse but boy did Jay Chattaway's score suck. The music of TNG was pretty awful by this time (Although Lessons, Face of The Enemy, and Frame of Mind had actual music).

Q Who - 0
The Measure of a Man - 1
Yesterday's Enterprise - 0
The Best of Both Worlds (I) - 0
Chain of Command (II) - 3
All Good Things-0

ehhh.. I feel weird voting for the same episode two rounds in a row so I'll switch it up. I'm voting for The Best of Both Worlds (I). It was a great action movie, and there's no way to not love the conflict, but it didn't have much in the way of deeper nuance that the other episodes on this list all had. More of an adrenaline rush instead of anything that made you think than the other remaining episodes.

Q Who - 0
The Measure of a Man - 3
Yesterday’s Enterprise - 0
The Best of Both Worlds (I) - 1
Chain of Command (II) - 3
All Good Things - 0

I'll eliminate Chain of Command (II): many of the same reasons as have been listed previously.

Next round!

Q Who - 0
The Measure of a Man - 0
Yesterday’s Enterprise - 0
The Best of Both Worlds (I) - 0
All Good Things - 0

Measure of a Man, again.

Q Who - 0
The Measure of a Man - 1
Yesterday’s Enterprise - 0
The Best of Both Worlds (I) - 0
All Good Things - 0

Measure of a Man, it's a great episode but I like all the others more. I think the idea that an organization like starfleet has to draft Picard and Riker into the legal department to get a hearing going is a bit stupid and can serve as my justification.

Q Who - 0
The Measure of a Man - 2
Yesterday’s Enterprise - 0
The Best of Both Worlds (I) - 0
All Good Things - 0

The Measure of a Man

Q Who - 0
The Measure of a Man - 3
Yesterday’s Enterprise - 0
The Best of Both Worlds (I) - 0
All Good Things - 0

All Good Things. The writer veared toward soap opera with Riker/Worf/Troi, there was too much technobabble, Patrick Stewart seemed tired(except for the future scenes where he played a cranky old man) and Dennis Mccarthy's final score was forgettable.
Q Who -0
The Measure of a Man - 3
Yesterday’s Enterprise - 0
The Best of Both Worlds (I) - 0
All Good Things-1

Knocking out Measure Of A Man because it's the only non-top 10 episode left.

Q Who -0
Yesterday’s Enterprise - 0
The Best of Both Worlds (I) - 0
All Good Things-0

I voted for Q Who. Last time I watched this episode, I found the Guinan scenes annoying. That's not much of a reason but at this point it's hard to separate the excellent from the magnificent.

Q Who - 1
Yesterday’s Enterprise - 0
The Best of Both Worlds (I) - 0
All Good Things - 0

All Good Things. It's fantastic, but the plot mechanics surrounding the central anomaly seem creakier on every repeat viewing

Q Who - 1
Yesterday’s Enterprise - 0
The Best of Both Worlds (I) - 0
All Good Things - 1

All Good Things because I want to rewatch it the least at the moment. Weak reason but it's the only one I have.

Q Who - 1
Yesterday’s Enterprise - 0
The Best of Both Worlds (I) - 0
All Good Things - 2

Like, how do these people communicate math to each other? "Henry, his five oranges. Jack, his eight oranges. Henry and Jack, the oranges they have." It seems like a nebulous form of communication, you always communicate the gist of something and the specifics are implied, but that does not translate well when you're trying to advance science.

You're not really supposed to focus or think much about how the language would work ("clumsily" would be the answer), the episode is more about confronting something totally alien and understanding it. It's about the discovery process.

And are there a bunch of people walking into hospitals telling the receptionist "Caesar and Brutus in the senate" instead of "I've been stabbed"?

Now I want a sitcom with those people.

Voting Yesterday's Entreprise.

Q Who - 1
Yesterday’s Enterprise - 1
The Best of Both Worlds (I) - 0
All Good Things - 2

All good things can go.

Q Who-1
Yesterdays Enterprise-1
The Best of Both Worlds-0
All Good Things-3

The Best of Both Worlds (I). What can I say? Q is at his best in AGT and Q Who, and Yesterday's Enterprise has a deeper emotional impact than BOBW.

Q Who-1
Yesterdays Enterprise-1
The Best of Both Worlds-1
All Good Things-3

Toughie. But I'll eliminate All Good Things by a hair.
