Zeroing them out after the All Good Things elimination.

I'll give my point this round to BOBW -- at this moment Yesterday's Enterprise is my fav TNG ep and I'm just feeling Q Who a little more than BOBW right now.

    Q Who - 0
    Yesterday's Enterprise - 0

All three eps are great but BOBW lacks the visual style of Q Who and Yesterdays Enterprise. Cliff Bole's direction is a little flat compared to Rob Bowman and David Carson.

Yesterdays's Enterprise, it led to Sela.

Q Who for me. It's a great episode, but it doesn't have the gut-punch of BOBW or the flair of Yesterday's Enterprise for me.

Voting Yesterday's Enterprise because now even a top ten episode is the worst remaining.

At this point it just comes down to personal favorites. All three episodes are top notch. Q Who is edgy and spooky. Yesterday's Enterprise is romantic and stylish. The Best Of Both Worlds is epic.

I vote Q Who to leave us. It is a good episode, but it is a Q episode and personally I don’t think that character has aged well.

Yesterday’s Enterprise is my favorite single TNG episode and The Best of Both Worlds I & II are my favorite TNG two part episodes.

That brings it down to the last two episodes. My vote is for The Best of Both Worlds.

Also voting for (against?) Best Of Both Worlds. Yesterday's Enterprise is my favorite of the series.

I'm voting for Yesterday's Enterprise again, it's great but TBOBW is special, the looming thread of the borg, Shelby coming in, Picard's kidnapping, the rescue attempt and the cliffhanger. This all felt meaningful Yesterdays's Enterprise feels a bit inconsequential in comparison with it being an alternate reality that we knew would be undone by the end of the episode.

As much as I love "Yesterday's Enterprise," I'm going to vote against it. Aside from the lamentable addition of Sela, its lasting impact on the rest of the series was minimal, with none of the crew save Guinan remembering the events. BOBW had an impact that reverberated through TNG, DS9, and VOY. Also, at the time it was broadcast it was the mother of all cliffhangers, since there was a very real question as to whether Stewart was coming back!

I love Yesterday's Enterprise. I just rewatched it a few days ago and was reminded how great it is. But nothing will ever top that feeling I got in June 1990 when "To Be Continued" popped on the screen after Riker's order to fire.

I find I've watched BOBW too many times while watching Yesterday's Enterprise on bluray was like watching it for the first time.

Guess I am casting the final vote? I vote Yesterday's Enterprise. Great ep but BOBW is the one most defining iconic ep in all post-TOS Trek.

    Best Of Both Worlds FTW

There we have it, folks. BOBW is a two-time winner. Thanks for playing!

One of the pleasures of serving as the forum Moderator is watching these threads develop. On the other hand, as a fan with a personal interest, it is very hard to not participate but I just feel that is not appropriate in my own forum. I wince when personal favorites like Darmok and Inner Light fall but I need to keep my hands clean.
