The least disliked episode of TNG - Final Part

I'll also give a point to Arsenal Of Freedom -- quite good for a season 1 episode, but not up to the standards of these others.

The Arsenal of Freedom - 2

The Measure of a Man - 0

The Best of Both Worlds (I) - 0

The Inner Light - 0

Arsenal Of Freedom has to go. If only for the cheap plastic looking planet sets.

There were much better season one episodes than the Arsenal Freedom (like Conspiracy) but I still enjoy it more than most eps from season 6-7. I'm still voting for Tapestry's exclusion. Great concept, but I'm not interested in immature cadets getting into fights with aliens because they lost a game of pool.

I'll say The Pegasus. There's some interesting things in it, but it doesn't completely hold together for me. Although, I'm almost tempted to vote for something else just because of "Captain Picard Day."

Will knock out Arsenal of Freedom. It is my favorite season 1 episode but still has that hokeyness season 1 had.

Tapestry, because it is an overrated episode. I like Patrick Stewart's scenes with Q when he realizes he's a mistake and when tells Q he would "rather die the man he was than live the life he just saw." I didn't like his scenes with his academy platonic girlfriend. I didn't buy it. Stewart seems so old and tired; the kinder, gentler Picard just doesn't play upon his strengths as an actor.

Voting Inner Light. It's a good episode but I've never thought of it as 'Best of series' level. It's a great showcase for Patrick Stewart's acting, but the premise is kind of a reach. They can beam decades of memories into a a person's head but they can't put a few people on the spaceship that delivers it?

My vote this round goes to "The Pegasus." I understand that TPTB felt they had to explain why the Federation never developed a cloaking device, but this made the UFP government -- especially the diplomats -- look foolish. Short of being on the losing end of a war (which, so far as we know, the UFP was not), what kind of idiots agree to handicap their fighting forces in such a big way? Also, I remember Picard being pretty epically self-righteous in this episode.

I'll repeat my vote from last round for The Pegasus, and knock it off the list.

I'll also take Reunion now that The Pegasus has gone. Wasn't really much if a fan of any Alexander episodes at all.

The logic argument against "The Inner Light" is a good one and I totally recognize the validity of all those complaints, but somehow the emotional gut-punch still gets me. "Darmok" is the TNG classic that trips me up, where I just don't quite feel it, so giving that one my point for this round...

I could vote for Tapestry again but I'm going to try to kill All Good Things. Too much technobabble, and I thought the Worf/Riker/Troi triangle was uninspired writing.

One more vote for Darmok here. Interesting premise, but not in the league of the others.

And here's one for "Reunion." After all these years, I'm still pissed off over the way they killed K'Ehleyr.

I'll register my vote for Inner Light again, same reasons.

Does anyone change their vote or should we just redistribute votes for the four people who voted for the eliminated one?

With a heavy heart, I'll eliminate Reunion. It's one of my personal favorites, but the least significant episode remaining.
