And once we declared war on Japan, the rest of history unfolds as it did in the real world. One person can make a difference, but against such overwhelming odds. I respect your point and would be more than fine if the ruling were deemed in your belief's favor but it's not so much that it came in slowly as it came to a blinding halt. There are only going to be so many forumites who will get involved in something such as this and in the unlikely event that several episodes were at four of fives votes at once, as we've seen by just having a couple of episodes competing for elimination it would become quite problematic.

I hadn't realised that we were on to the finale thread. Given the obvious and outstanding quality of the episodes we're selecting from it's really difficult to choose any of them to be eliminated. Especially now that the Voyager episodes are gone, I'm afraid I would have voted for them irrespective of their merit's, but simply because Voyager is by far my least favourite show of the franchise.
There's only one episode here that I haven't seen since broadcast and that's Tacking into the Wind, so I'll have to dig it out and watch it. So all things being equal, I'd agree that The Forge is the weakest episode on the list. The Vulcan trilogy is great, but the Aenar/Romulan trilogy is slightly better and also has one massive advantage over the earlier trilogy, and the name of that advantage is Shran.
