A vote for the Forge. Yeah, it's a part of a multi-parter, but I don't get what makes it an outstanding ep. There are better eps in the list.

Don't like Mirror, Mirror, I generally am not a fan of the Mirror Universe (though this one is the best of those).

And I predict that Best of Both Worlds will win, with either City or Pale Moonlight coming second.

The Measure Of A Man...Easily the weakest of the TNG episodes listed and not especially a great episode compared to the others.

No disassemble Number Johnny Five, er Data! Or Star Trek does Quantum Leap. I went back and forth on this one. I think Measure of a Man speaks to something higher and is a great civil rights moment for Data. I like Inner Light well enough, especially that fantastic flute solo - which is even better on the album, with full orchestra behind it. But it is a teensy bit more manipulative. It somehow feels like its deliberately going for award-worthy melodrama.

Well, yes. Because season 2 is awful, but The Measure of A Man is a great episode - the first great TNG episode.

The Forge - it's a good part of a good three-parter which is one of the better in the generally really good season 4. I just don't see why this specific episode would be seen as outstanding compared to the others.

I preferred Damage - for the same reasons others dislike it - it's Archer's In the Pale Moonlight moment. And Azati Prime/Damage does what none of the other Treks ever dared to do - show a terribly wrecked Enterprise, with people being sucked into space, and it lets it remain that way and shows consequences, rather than have it immediately be shiny and new again. *cough* Voyager *cough*
Oh, well.

I'll add a point to The Forge. While all the other episodes have qualities that set themselves apart from regular episodes, I don't see what makes this particular one so outstanding.
