Buy maybe he's been misquoted, or maybe he even meant it was easier to write once he knew the range of actors it could be. Or maybe he's just said something he shouldn't have!

Hey did anyone else notice all the references to the movies in First Light? Happens every time you visit the Q lab. They so far have found in deep storage the crocodile submarine Moore used, the pod that they ejected inside from the end of The Spy Who Loved me, and I think the jetpack that Connery used in one movie but they referred to it as being powered by a diesel .....
