There is a first time for everything but generally the rule with Bond has been that the favourite doesn’t end up getting the part.

Love James Bond, iconic, classic, timeless fun. Been rewatching a lot of them lately. I especially love the Roger Moore era, the Dalton ones, some of all of them for sure, and enjoyed seeing them all at least once.

Next up on my rewatch is The Spy Who Loved Me! Always been one of my favs.

They couldn't which is one of the reasons it will never happen.

The “Bond should be female” argument has always struck me as immensely silly because he is intrinsically a very masculine character, almost to the point of toxic masculinity. You can have a black Bond, you can have a female Doctor Who without changing their essence but a female James Bond would and could not but change the whole character.

Absolutely, there are a whole heap of ways of having a person of colour be Bond, there's no real way of having him be a woman.

there is probley an alternate earth where the james bond was created in the 1940s then about 100 james bond movies and 200 james bond spinoffs since the 1950s by different bond production studios over the years
