The James Bond Film Discussion Thread (With Bonus Lazenby!)

I was mostly just making a joke. I say mostly because the more I think about it, the idea of Blunt as Bond actually clicks with me. Not that it matters, we're never getting a female Bond anyway.

OMG easy way to work this Blunt is Bond's distant relative or someone in training. Problem solved

Sure. On all counts.

I was just putting forward that Emily Blunt in a spy flick might be a good idea. But then I wondered if ANYONE in a spy flick is a good idea.

Are we just look at James' with a surname beginning with B?

In that case I put forward posthumously James (Jim) Bowen. Uk comedian and TV presenter

Super, Smashing Great

Although he might say in this Film there's Something for two in a bed

Well we have had a female 007 already

Has Blofeld at gunpoint at the end of the film. "Let's have a look at what you could have won." Blam!

Jim (James) Belushi...!!!

...no, no, before you do any of that, think a minute...see him at the Baccarat table...ah, yes!...

...you see it now!!!

The Craig Bond exists in a completely different timeline and we accepted that. Roger Moore looked nothing like Sean Connery OR George Lazenby. We got over that. Timothy Dalton looked nothing like Roger. We adjusted. We'd be fine.
Exactly. Baffles me when eg Anthony Horowitz (whose Bond books I like) said that they boxed themselves in by the end of NTTD and that audiences wouldn’t be able to understand how Bond had come back to life. Well, we managed to understand that the rookie OO agent in Casino Royale wasn’t the Cold War dinosaur we’d seen in Goldeneye.
