I am getting disappointed by this thread 
In Germany it's a new year tradition to eat berliner (little sweet pastrys) with your friends/family after the fireworks. Almost all of them are filled with either sweet cream or jam, but one is filled with mustard, and you don't know which one from just looking at them
As if 2020 hadn't already graced us with enough signs of the apocalypse, according to GrubHub's "Taste of 2020" report, Hawaiian pizza has been named America's Favourite Pizza of the year.
It would seem that everything that they've had to deal with this year is really starting to do a number on the poor Americans. Hang in there, USA, better times are ahead!

I think pineapple and cooked ham are a dream team just like roast beef and cranberry preserve, smoked ham and water melon or tomatos and cinnamon (main ingredients in spicy ketchup). Or as a German proverb says: the result sanctifies the means.

A Berliner is a plain jam-filled donut with sugar sifted over it. Traditionally, it's filled with either apricot jam or rosehip jam. I much prefer the latter 
We love Hawaiian pizza (thin crust and light sauce, please) around here, but when I bake a ham, I put the pineapple and maraschino cherries on, so it's a flavor we like.
My daughter loves pepperoni and pineapple pizza. I don't understand, but since she's gluten-free, she gets her own pizza and can top it however she chooses.
