The state of things of the comics before Crisis on Infinite Earth was Iris was killed by the Reverse Flash. Much later Barry was engaged to marry a new woman. On the wedding day the Reverse Flash tried to kill her and the Flash killed him in defense. The Flash was but on trial for his murder. During the trial it was revealed that Iris was still alive in the very distant future. Where her birth parents were from. Iris was time traveling into a member of the jury’s body, he was acquitted. When Barry learned of her survival he went to live with her in the distant future. He died shortly after in Crisis.
The idea that Iris gave birth to twins was introduced by Mark Waid. Also that one of them gave birth to Barry’s grandson Impluse. All in the 25th Century I think.
I have a hard time taking seriously, as a villain, a guy in a varsity jacket.
The Silver Age Flash 30th Century was a bit different than the Silver Age LSH 30th Century. Then again there were competing version of Atlantis too.0th (XS was in the Legion of Super Heroes), but otherwise correct.

80s teen comedies must be hard on you.
Yuck. I really hated that villain.Bloodwork is returning.
Amanda tapping signed up for season 11 of Stargate that never happened.Related to next seasonit’s already been announced that Candice Patton has signed a contract to return for next season as Iris. Likely done awhile ago but held off to the season finale. Surprised it is in industry press day before it even airs. Not a real surprise. I certainly am as curious as anyone if there is a hidden reason for her limited appearances this season. But it’s possible it’s a very personal reason she does not wish to share.
They wrapped up Diggle’s story because they didn’t know if there would be a season 9

As shocking as it was for The Flash season 8 to do this, it doesn't mean the box storyline is concluded. While details for The Flash season 9 are being kept heavily under wraps, it wouldn't be shocking if that box somehow makes a return. Whether it be to Diggle or perhaps Barry Allen himself, there is always a possibility. The Flash, like most Arrowverse shows, has had its many plot twists and the alien box re-emerging could always be one of them.
Isn't it about time he knocked up Iris? Nora should be around already.
It was okay but it was a bit silly in some places. It was very Lantern like with them combining powers.
So we have got another Frost. It will be interesting to see her look.

Most likely because when the episode was in production they did not know yet if this was the final episode of the series. Legends credited the creators of every DC character who ever appeared during its whole run. The difference is Legends was cancelled and The Flash was renewed.Did I miss something? Why was there "Superman created by Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster" in the end credits?
