I wonder if Thawne is going to make an appearence before the season's end.
That seems unlikely, given how he ended up in Legends of Tomorrow.

I wonder if Thawne is going to make an appearence before the season's end. He did "send" Barry back to his normal time, with some changes, but what if he didn't really. Of course that sets up the whole reset button thing and I'm not sure if I want that.

He doesn't exist anymore.I dont watch legends of tomorrow.![]()
He doesn't exist anymore.
He was erased from time. Unless Barry changes the time line again he isn't coming back from that.Considering the fantastical elements of these shows, I wouldn't say that's absolute.
Which episode was it that Barry went back in time to a point where Thawne was still pretending to be Wells?
But not Icemaiden and Sigrid NansenI don't particularly like the idea of Caitlyn going KF full-time. But heck, if they turned Grant Ward into a villain on Agents of SHIELD, then certainly anything is possible from a narrative point of view. Given the choice, I'd rather she turned into Ice and changed her name to Tora Olafsdottir.

Maybe he could still get away from the Time Wraiths, some how?
This is comic book narrative. Thawne is only dead as long as the writers don't have a story line for him.
Yeah, but the writers' storyline plans are exactly why I think he won't be back this season. There's a direct and deliberate throughline from Barry freeing Thawne at the end of "Flashpoint" to Thawne showing up as the big bad in Legends. I believe it was confirmed by the producers that these were intended to be the same incarnation of Thawne (although that's confusing continuity-wise, because he remembered being Wells even though Barry took him from a time before that happened). Because the two shows coordinated their uses of Thawne, I really don't think The Flash's producers intend to bring back Thawne so soon after the conclusion of his arc in Legends, because that would undermine that conclusion. If he does come back, it won't be until a later season.
We saw him die in Legends of Tomorrow, in a very spectacular CGI effect of him disintegrating. He was erased from time by the Black Flash.
