Spoilers The Flash - Season 3

I wonder if Thawne is going to make an appearence before the season's end. He did "send" Barry back to his normal time, with some changes, but what if he didn't really. Of course that sets up the whole reset button thing and I'm not sure if I want that.

Yeah, I'm not sure I want it either but I think that is the direction it is going--the whole season was Flashpoint. That would only work if the differences between the two universes (Flashpoint and the "real" universe) were only really subtle. If they weren't then that would negate Arrow and Supergirl as well. A possible explanation is that Flashpoint emanates from Flash himself so those close to him were most affected, and could possibly retain the memories of the two timelines going into the future.

I'm still of the opinion that Barry will face another time remnant Thawne (though, a bit younger) in the future.

I don't particularly like the idea of Caitlyn going KF full-time. But heck, if they turned Grant Ward into a villain on Agents of SHIELD, then certainly anything is possible from a narrative point of view. Given the choice, I'd rather she turned into Ice and changed her name to Tora Olafsdottir.

But not Icemaiden and Sigrid Nansen

I'm hoping they go Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Keep her evil, but find some way to force her to work with the team. The actress looks like she's having so much more fun, and it really comes across in her performance.

Also, the new outfit is a keeper. Damn.

This is comic book narrative. Thawne is only dead as long as the writers don't have a story line for him. Regarding Caitlin, my guess is that we're going to see something closer to the current KF in the comics. Probably have her out of make up most of the time but always being tempted by KF's hunger.

Yeah, but the writers' storyline plans are exactly why I think he won't be back this season. There's a direct and deliberate throughline from Barry freeing Thawne at the end of "Flashpoint" to Thawne showing up as the big bad in Legends. I believe it was confirmed by the producers that these were intended to be the same incarnation of Thawne (although that's confusing continuity-wise, because he remembered being Wells even though Barry took him from a time before that happened). Because the two shows coordinated their uses of Thawne, I really don't think The Flash's producers intend to bring back Thawne so soon after the conclusion of his arc in Legends, because that would undermine that conclusion. If he does come back, it won't be until a later season.

I agree that they won't bring him back right away but he has to come back at some point. Thawne is too good of a villain, plus he is such an iconic nemesis for Barry Allen.

Thawn is a complex guy with secrets, but then, a different author is given an episode to write and Thawn comes off as a villain from a silent movie.

Sometimes it really seemed like he wanted to be Wells, and Killing Barry was no longer an essential part to his agenda.

I liked those episodes.

We saw him die in Legends of Tomorrow, in a very spectacular CGI effect of him disintegrating. He was erased from time by the Black Flash.

Thats what I meant. Time Wraiths, Black Flash... kinda the same thing; It seems like Zoom is now like Death, and the Wraiths are his Reapers.

We don't know what happened or where he was taken when he disintegrated.
