The Down Under Lounge

Do Barbeques Galore has gone bust. Doesn't bother me, as it's been a long time since I been into one of their shops. Seems some people just want to complain and blame Albo. Thankfully I have better things to do with my time.

When the other side has zero answers it's time to blame the government of course /s

So Angus Taylor is now the new leader. The meme leader is now in charge, They are just sad.

And Tony Abbott came out of the woodwork and said stuff, even a dog whistle or two.

This is the quote Tony said
"Our character is essentially Anglo-Celtic and Judaeo-Christian. That's what has made our country attractive to migrants, and we should keep it that way."

Was reading an article yesterday about ABC moving it's AM stations in Perth to FM (a process I gather is happening around the country).

Guess they won't have that distinctive sound any more.

Not sure whether it was the the equipment used (which was a probably standardised) but no matter the state you could tell the ABC station because there was something about the sound that was distictive.

Not that I spend much time listening to other stations (growing up and in my parents cars the radios where always on the ABC) but I can't recall any others having sound that indicated you were listening to a particular one.

So Adelaide is now going to hosting the Australian MotoGP from the next year which I guess is a bit of payback for the F1 Grand Prix :)

Given it's going to a similar circuit to the F1 those coming in from the North Eastern suburbs will be pissed at yet another set of road closures cause havoc with their commute and that was much worse because Dequetaville Tce was closed off.

I haven't been back since the tunnel for the busway open but may the busess can get in the heart of city without being caught in race traffic.
