I hope the Muslim guy, Ahmed al Ahmad, who disarmed one of the gunman gets awarded the Star of Courage, he certainly deserves it.

I saw that there were calls for him to get an OAM. I have a feeling that he will get something. Been interesting (and sad too) watching what has been happening on threads.

Over a million dollars have been raised at GoFundMe for Ahmed. His parents only arrived from Syria a few months ago. They hadn’t seen their son since he came to Australia in 2006.

I'd love to know why so many people support such overreach. It's not the job of governments to play nanny

Not so much overreach as safety net. Commercial businesses aren't going to do what is right if they can make a quid from it.
