The Down Under Lounge

Kudos to Manly (praising Manly is a rare thing for me to do) for planning wearing a jersey that supports inclusion. I have zero problems if this was my team did that. I like the idea of a Pride Round (that is being suggested)

What about those players choosing to boycott this?

A non-political topic for a moment, but did anybody watch the last episode of Neighbours?

I realise the members here aren't really the demographic lol, but I watched it for... I don't know why, but I did. I guess I've always enjoyed series finales for some strange reason.

And after 37 years someone finally said "Its not a street, its a court!". Best line ever!

The funny thing was I never really watched it as a kid at all (much more into the surf and sun of Home and Away then some dreary Melbourne outer-suburb (though my sister did get into it for a bit around the turn of the millennium, so I ended up watching it when she had control of the remote).

The Kylie and Jason stuff was pretty meh, clearly filmed separately and badly edited in. For all the hoopla that was around them, even Margot Robbie on Zoom had more lines!. However Guy Pierce was great though!

I will say this, Natalie Bassingwaithe is a freaking awesome actress (not that this show gave her much range). I recently saw her in Jagged Little Pill and even though I had issues with the show itself, her acting and singing where Top knotch!

I wonder how long Summer Bay will last now...

FTFY Nat's name

For as long as channel 7 keep tipping money into it and angsty teenagers and bored women keep watching it...

Natalie Bassingthwaite is freaking awesome, and even the Margo Robbie bits were a bit tacked on.

Deeply sad tonight.

When I was a little migrant kid, hers was one of the first voices that stayed with me, to me she was the voice of Australia.

I don't know how to explain this one, as a kid growing up and in my early teens I could not stand ONJ but as I grew older I changed and found I liked her, and liked her music a bit more too and now love her.
