Glad I'm not the only one.
I think it was mentioned earlier in this thread that they were working on a new Honey, I Shrunk the Kids movie with Josh Gad. They're now in talks with Joe Johnston, the director of the original, to come back and direct this one. Also turns out it's going to be a theatrical release, not a Disney+ release.
the list of new stuff on Disney+ today:
(the initial One Day at Disney documentary actually came out on Tuesday, but the regular weekly short episodes start today, and should run for 52 weeks straight)
also a list of a bunch of old stuff that they've added to the service, most of which dropped on Monday, except for Thor Ragnarok which dropped yesterday:
and if that still isn't enough for you, here's a promo video they put out featuring the December highlights (it doesn't quite include everything, as you can tell from the list posted above)
I really wish they had a section of the new stuff, so you can just see what's been added.
They really need to hire a new interface designer. They are missing so many things that can make their service so much better.
that's why I post these lists/pics here in this thread, just to try to help keep track
off all the things, a Turner & Hooch series coming from Matt Nix, the guy behind Burn Notice and The Gifted:
not officially official yet, but if Deadline is reporting it, Disney+ is at the very least seriously thinking about it
Hmm, not quite sure how that would work as a TV series since it the movie's plot was pretty specific and not open to an ongoing story, but I enjoyed both Burn Notice and The Gifted, so I'll give it a look if it happens.
I love the original movie, it was one of the first movies to really make me a Tom Hanks fan.
Disney+ managed to steal 1 million subscribers from Netflix, but Netflix is expected to make up for it by the end of the year.
I watched The Black Cauldron for the first time this morning, it's one of the few animated Disney movies I've never seen. It was OK, I enjoyed it, but it's definitely not one of their best.
I too watched Black Cauldren recently and I agree. One of the things I want to do with this service is watch or revisit movies from Disney’s dark era before Little Mermaid. I’ve seen Black Cauldren and Oliver and Company so far. I think I liked Cauldren more than I liked Oliver, even though it was surprisingly dark.
I also want to see Black Hole, which is not animated but I guess has some history.
Black Cauldron doesn't deserve the rep it gets, but it does have quite a few annoying characters that bring things down...
Early reviews seem to indicate that Togo (that Willem Dafoe sled dog movie) is actually a good movie.
New stuff this week:
It's a little weird to see The Simpsons next to Disney-produced stuff.
looks like Runaways season 3 is coming to Disney+ next month, that's a really quick turnaround from its Hulu release
Saw a few episodes of Avengers: United They Stand on the service; it's not as bad as people remember.
Some folks were just annoyed that the show didn't feature the Big 3, the Hank Pym Ant-Man was the leader (at the time he was best remembered for being a guy with repeated mental breakdowns and hitting his wife the one time) and how it felt a bit of a repetition of the prior FOX X-Men show (reusing the same actors and having Hawkeye be the Wolverine stand-in).
this week's new stuff:
I think one of the Spider-Man animated shows is due to be added on Tuesday, and a whole bunch of stuff (including more Marvel cartoons) is due to be added on Wednesday, January 1.
By the way, for anyone who hasn't seen a full list, here's all the stuff currently coming in the next month or so.
Specifically the US version here, I'm not sure what's coming overseas (like those crazy X-Men movies that showed up). Also of note, the end of January may not be 100% locked in stone yet, something may still be added to the schedule. Or not.
Anyways, I'm putting it in a spoiler, not to surprise, but just because the list is long.
But you can feel free to not look at it and be surprised if you want.

I just picked some stuff to highlight in bold. You may spot some other highlights.
Lots of season finales on the 10th and 24th as you can see. We'll see if that's the entire list for the 31st or not.
Hm.... I think some of those are already on the Dutch Disney+. Also, I can already select the new Lion King for my watchlist, but here it says release somewhere in february.
Watched Return to Oz for the first time today, I enjoyed it, but damn there is some creepy and disturbing stuff in it for what is supposed to be a kids movie.
