But that's about to the extent anyone every "talks" to the computer in Star Trek. It's usually asking for directions to Sci-Pi-Cookie-Alpha or searching Starfleet Wiki. For everything else, there's chicken-pecking LCARS.It's nice for getting driving directions or querying Google. I would not trust it in a critical situation.
It's essentially the same as phones today. And the functionality will probably be ubiquitous in business/work/military environments within the next generation.
