Tattoos

In my city there are often year long waiting lists for the renown tatt artists. So if you're saving up for it might be a good idea to pick your artist and book ahead of time. Rainbow Dash makes an awesome tatt, the colours are fantastic. I love blue in tatts. I think it would look great in that traditional man place, the upper arm.

I have a good friend who is a very accomplished tattoo artist. He's already volunteered his time for when I eventually get the money and inclination. The arm? That would be a good place, but my skin is a bit patchy there, and I'm not sure how well the ink would hold.

Anyhoo, here's his website: http://creative77.deviantart.com/

Yeah, new tattoo threads always get me thinking. As for placement, the arm was my first choice, and I definitely want to show it off, it's just whether it will look right there, and whether my skin will hold the ink.

Shirtless muscly J. The people of America would never stand a chance.

Think I figured that if the Earth goes on the left shoulder, the Ouroboros goes on the right. Simply for symmetry to start with, but also since Earth represents science, something that is closer to my heart than Mythology. Even though they're both important to me.

I thought it was relevant.

Yeah I'm pretty sure by 70 the rest of me is going to look...well the tattoo will be the least of my problems.

At least one of mine will be to cover up a collection of old scars, something that already bothers me and a way of putting a part of my past behind me.

I'd rather have something nicer to look at when I'm older.

Agreed with both of you. I'm hoping to have made many far more poorly thought out choices by the time I'm 70 than having a tattoo.

My real name is Errol, one of the rarer and least popular names around and I've had a very love/hate thing going on for years, with no one ever really having heard of it, spelling or pronouncing it wrong, having to repeat it all the time.

I apologize for my previous joke.

Is your last name Flynn? ;)

No, just no. Please, don't. I'm nearly 30 and I've heard that joke so many times it's one of the reasons I despise my name. So just don't.

I'm going to get 3 tattoos done. Not soon, but not late either. Two of them have to wait until certain events have taken place. They are a bass clef on my left arm, and a graphic/thumbnail of a book.

Over my heart, though, I want this word, I include the definition for you:

It's a cool word, and sums up how I often feel. Didn't know it existed until last year.

Oh, I know I will have. Finally gotten to that phase in my life where people get a lot earlier usually and do a lot more spontaneous decisions. Makes it more fun :)

Amen. I hit my "fuck this, life is too short. No pants!" stride years ago, and I've never looked back, except to admire my own ass. It is glorious.

Chemahkuu, any possibility of going with your middle name?

My parents thought it was funny to give me 3 stupid names, so although the other two are technically better, they're still not great.

I just don't want the burdon to be on me to change my name when other people make the stupid remarks or can't make the effort to get it right you know?
