Spoilers Supergirl - Season 1

^^
Those are apparently some spoilery photos from the Flash crossover.

Could people please spoiler tag stuff from upcoming episodes?

Well, no pic of the scene I'm hoping for (Barry useing his powers to do to Cat what Harrison Wells did to Cisco before Barry changed the timeline that one time), but just seeing Barry there is awesome. The crossover might actually give Cat Gran--I mean, "Supergirl" its first good episode ever, as opposed to its usual mediocre episodes with occasional good elements. If nothing else, Barry showing up has got to mean that the good parts of Supergirl will get more screen time then the horrible parts (maybe Cat grant will actually get less than 30 minutes of screen time in the crossover, unlikely I know but I can hope :shifty:).

You do realize that they're going to give Her Catiness more screen time just so she can berate people over not getting the story on the new speedy superhero in her town, right?

They can't give her too much time. Barry is the big guest, so he's taking screen time from someone. They're not going to cut into the main crossover's screen time just because Cat Grant hasn't gotten enough time. Barry appearing basically guarantees that Cat isn't center stage this week, making this the first episode of the show where Cat is not the main character of the show. She'll obviously do something, because the writers hate Supergirl and love Cat Grant for some reason, but Barry and supergirl interacting 9is the draw, and presumably the focus, of the episode.

The most startling thing in those photos is Lucy in the DEO. Is she taking over "Hank"'s job?

The second-most startling thing is how dark the Flash's costume is next to Supergirl's. Cisco needs to get cracking on that brighter costume we saw in the future newspaper.

Cat should not have much to with this crossover--particularly with all going on with the DEO. Speaking of the DEO, I do not care for the idea of Lucy taking over. First, what specific qualifications does she have? Second, its just more bitchy attacking / romance drama crap in relation to James, because the producers will not bury the Lucy side of it. That is long past its shelf date.

She's an Army major. She's had previous interactions with the DEO in "Red Faced." Maybe General Lane would appoint her as his proxy.

Of course, she might not be taking over. The last time "Hank" was indisposed, Alex became the acting director. Maybe Alex will be promoted to director and Lucy will fill the vacancy that leaves in the lower ranks.

Alex was made director at Hank's recommendation. I doubt they would promote her to the position again based on the word of an alien.

Yeah, even as someone who long since gave up on Supergirl, this is obviously the reason Lucy is taking over. Berlanti has a bizarre fixation with stretching horrible relationship drama far past the point of relevancy, I think he really wants to write a daytime soap opera but never got the opportunity, so he's using supergirl (and Arrow) to write the soap opera stories that his career has never let him do.

Could you at least wait to see the episode before making such judgements? Outside of a black suit you have zero idea what Lucy's role is now.
Unless you have additional information you have not shared yet.

Yeah, you guys are jumping to a lot of assumptions based on a couple of still pictures, that we don't even know the context of.
