The vaguely worded comments in that article, along with comments made in other interviews in the past make me think if/when we do see Sybok, it'll be in an alternate timeline/reality. Indeed, given the repeated use of the word "future" in the comments made in this article make me think we're getting a sort of AGT style alternate future, perhaps an alternate version of the events of TFF which feature older versions of the SNW cast instead?

I didn't think there would be as since they no longer try to have Trek year round unlike a few years ago, they're going yo let SFA generate whatever season finale 'buzz' it can, and will drop hints of SNW S4. but won't start promoting SNW S4 until a month or so after the SFA season 1 finale.

They're trying for as much milage as they can get out of whatever they have.
