I don't watch it until Saturdays, at the earliest. Why does the time it drops matter? I go to bed at 10, and no show gets me up any later or earlier. There is nothing worth it in the entertainment industry for missing sleep.
Thing is, seasons 1 and 2 of Disco were released during prime time hours, 8:00 PM EST to be exact. At that time everyone whined and complained that Paramount+ (or rather CBS All Access as it was then known as) was "adhering to an outdated network model" and that they "needed to get with the times and start acting like a true streaming service" by releasing the episodes at midnight PST. Which is why they've been doing exactly that starting with Picard S1 and every season of each Trek series since then. And given that decision was made specifically to appeal to the masses, I don't see them walking back on that. Especially not after three years of no complaints on the matter. So Ahsoka drops tomorrow at 6PM PST/9 PM EST and I gotta say I'm glad they are moving it to prime time slots. I'm getting too old to stay up until midnight or 11PM (Hint I'm only 33/34). and I gotta ask should Star Trek follow that model for Season 3 of SNW move it to either Wednesdays or Thursday at 6PM or 7? What's your thoughts?
One of my favorite scenes in all of Deep Space Nine, nay, all of STAR TREK. World building at it's finest and most natural.I love how they remembered the Moon/Luna stuff from DS9 and referenced it.

Yep. From TrekMovie:looks like SNW S1 Eps 1 and 2 are gonna air on CBS on “Star Trek Day”
I know it’s part of the celebration. But I wonder if it’s not also a bit of a trial balloon to gage interest to maybe put the show up on CBS in place of some delayed fall programming.
...Strange New Worlds on CBS
Star Trek Day will also feature special airings of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds on CBS. Beginning at 8 pm (ET/PT) they will air the first two episodes (“Strange New Worlds” and “Children of the Comet”) back-to-back...
Well, not fall programming, too late for that. But I guess they could be looking towards midseason since it's pretty clear there won't be any new content available then either. But I wonder if it’s not also a bit of a trial balloon to gage interest to maybe put the show up on CBS in place of some delayed fall programming.
..All in all Strange New Worlds has ranked on Nielsen’s Top 10 original streaming shows chart for five out of the first seven weeks of its second season run. Strange New Worlds has now jumped ahead of the third season of Star Trek: Picard which ranked on this same chart 3 times during its 10-episode run...
Why?Theatrical twice
Because of how Paramount sold the thing. I bought the first four movies as part of the 2021 4K box, assuming that they would then sell me another chunk of movies in another subsequent box. But no, the next year they then sold 1-6 as a box. Then the DE of TMP came out. If I wanted the set with all of the goodies (including the television edit, which from 1982ish to 2001 WAS Star Trek: The Motion Picture) then that came with the Theatrical Cut again. But no Blu rays, because that would be silly, right? Why?
One of my birthday presents was the S1 set of SNW.![]()
