Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

I think I'm remembering something vastly different - like, the spewing of vitriol on par with the online feuding that went on between TOS and RDM Battlestar Galactica.

Abrams-era fans were lambasting Berman-era fans for being close-minded fossils and only interested in living in Trek's past glories. The Berman-era fans blasted Abrams fans for supporting a usurping non-Trek abomination.

Fans of both (such as myself) were sitting on the sidelines watching the dumpster fire unfold and thinking :wtf:.

Interesting.

So, why the need to fully explain that "Lieutenant Spock is a 23rd century Federation Starfleet officer"? Seems a little...rote.

And no Sybok under "Siblings"? Non-blood adopted children count but half-siblings do not?

Other than those little things, though, it is a cool find...
This is the same organization that identified Spock as “Half-Vulcan Science Officer” in an official document.

Given that the method is an odd and dubious one, there's no reason to set it up as a horse-race. We can just say that both Trek shows are apparently among the most-watched in streaming, right?

[coughs loudly]

I just wanted to post that I finally finished Season 1 of SNW, and it was absolutely worth the watch, and I’d highly recommend to anyone sitting on their proverbial fences! I should add: I was never on the fence about watching SNW so late in the piece - rather for me, it’s been about getting time to watch - so winning on that front also!

On to Season 2 we go!

Now… back to your regular discussion schedule! ;) [wink!]
