They had to make him 25% different.Well, if that horse is meant to be Tango than it's actually not, I double checked on Memory Alpha, and Tango was a lighter brown with a white blaze, while this one is solid dark brown or black.

I wish I could “like” this 500 times. That is hilarious.A metallic, shiny coat and lights on every limb.
Watch stuff on 2x or 2.5x speedSince you asked so nicely I will tell you why. I don't have time.
I have full cable with Starz and Cinemax, access or subscriptions to Amazon Prime, AMC+, Disney+, HBOM, HULU, Netfilx, Paramount+ and Peacock+ and an additive internet connection.
I am behind on watching my favorites on everything, ergo, I don't have time.
Looks like Pike is in a bad mental place in the beginning and has retreated to a lone house in the woods.
1) WTF is with NuTrek and depressed/unhappy/unmotivated/lonely characters with mental health issues?
2) Why does Star Trek make rustic houses in an earth-like environment to a place of longing and refuge for Starfleet officers?
Kirk and his log cabin in the Nexus
Picard and his Chateau
Riker and his log cabin on the healing planet
Pike and his lone house in the woods
A trite trope.
These people are space explorers. The Federation is a galactic civilization.
This is all the writers can come up with how people in a post-scarcity society want to live?
3) Wind turbines? Why?
Have the writers of NuTrek ever heard of fusion energy?
Do we know this trailer isn't set after Pike has his look at his future in 'the chair'?
I can see that being a little mental unhealthy.

From comments by Akiva Goldsman and Anson Mount, and the timeline info we’ve been given (SNW uniforms are officially “circa 2259,” and Pike learned of his fate in 2258 in Discovery S02), I think we know that it’s for sure after he knew what his own fate would be.
Well then, under the circumstances, I think we can allow Chris a little me time with Tango and without a shaver. We know it doesn't stop him from eventually fulfilling his duties. Courage isn't about lacking fear and never facing depression. It's about facing fear head on and climbing back up out of sadness. The greatest lives have way more than their fair share of everything sucking. The greatness comes from what you do about it.

Pike tells Boyce he has two horses.
Tango-A.Or if the board will permit me to be morbid, Tango died and he's since been replaced. Things happen.
Unfortunately, it had to be 25% different.I just wish his legs weren't angled and were straight.
